I demand TS change the first saga picture.. It's really misleading with the non stock bumper and what's hidden behind it!

QUOTE(kevinlim001 @ Jan 26 2008, 02:08 AM) bro, this is 'the' original proton saga;http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Proton_...uala_Lumpur.jpg but of course, it should be white in colour. Notice the trademark steel rims. Usually steel rims will just be all silver or black without any centre cap. This wasnt meant to be used with rim cover. QUOTE(PureGeek @ Jan 26 2008, 09:55 PM) anyone use b4 or know about this product called F 21 car polish brand name is turtle wax... i currently used it on my new LMST... i worried it removed the original factory wax.. I've been using it for the past 3 years. Since it's a polisher, I only use it every six month. I can say I'm quite impressed with the product. U can see the shine even after a 'cincai' polishing job. |

spent this morning 'decarbonising' 3 sagas and 1 kancil using distilled water. Yes, no typo error there, I used distilled water only.
The result is fantastic. Spent only RM2 for a bottle of petronas distilled water. Decided to do it after few weeks of browsing through various automotive forums. Those whose car are sluggish, u might wanna try this out. U can really feel the car lighter and much more responsive. |

QUOTE(flyingteeku @ Jan 27 2008, 07:38 PM) combine car club tt?... lots of smoke with the kancil and one of the saga. The rest very less maybe due to the car quite new and 1 was recently overhauled.Added on January 27, 2008, 7:40 pm lotsa smoke come out..? what's the difference from the decarb selling in the market? I'm not going to compare with decarboniser in the market, but after reading few forums in the US, a lot of enthusiast over there chose water over commercial decarboniser as they found out that this decarboniser will foul the spark plugs. They also believes that if the carbon/dirt can get stuck at the plugs, definitely there will be some stuck somewhere along the way out before the exhaust. Distilled water however, in a compact and hot area will turn into steam that will clean and evaporate safely. Of course, dont ask me to take out my pistons to show u the effect, but I can personally guarantee the difference is really there and I will do it again at regular intervals. |

QUOTE(dopeisgood @ Jan 27 2008, 08:26 PM) 1. Buy a bottle of battery water2. Get a metre of aquarium hose+control valve+connector (should cost around rm2) Now let's prepare the hose first 3. Cut the hose into two. Connect the two hoses with the control valve. 4. Insert the connector into one end. Locate the vacuum hose 5. Start your car engine. Let it run for few minutes. CAUTION; do not do this when the engine is cold. 6. Locate the vacuum hose of your car. The black hose should run right under the stock filter box and connected to the firewall. This hose is coupled with another hose. 7. Disconnect 1 of the two black hoses. Usually it's the one on top of the two. Put your finger at the hose to ensure it's sucking. Starting the process 8. Connect the aquarium hose you prepared earlier with the connector to the vacuum hose. 9. Please ensure the valve is fully closed at this stage. 10. Dip the other end of the aquarium hose into the distilled water. 11. Now slowly open the valve until u can see the water getting sucked. 12. Do not open the valve too much. U want to ensure that the water is introduced slowly into the manifold. Surely u don't want to flood your intake right? 13. U decide how much water u want the car to drink. Personally I did only half a bottle for each car, as I dont want to leave the car idle for too long. 14. Remove all the hoses and connect the vacuum hose back to its place. 15. Slowly rev the engine until all smoke clears up. 16. Finally, and most important, let the engine idle again for a few minutes more before shutting down the engine or driving away. Trust me. It works. |

QUOTE(kevinlim001 @ Jan 27 2008, 11:39 PM) Actually it's quite easy to find... the 2 hoses are tied together. I think it's the only hose tied together. U open one and test got vacuum or not.![]() See the hose i pointed. Find the other end near the firewall and disconnect it. This post has been edited by blackpc: Jan 28 2008, 07:22 AM |

Finally changed to APM Performax absorbers & springs. Drove all the way to kepong to get it from zendengoh. Compared to the price quoted by shops near my place, I got a better deal even with the petrol+toll I have to pay to go to kepong and back.

I just showed cheean and cerealkiller how to decarb using h20. If any of u guys interested to learn, u can contact either one of them. They should already know how to do it.
Cheean's kancil's engine becomes quieter immediately after the decarb, while cerealkiller mentioned that his saga now vibrates less. |
