my first guitar was sx LP copy..
i had no idea on guitar specs or anyting.. i just wanted the LP shape so look like sugizo's guitar.. and pata's guitar

The strat looks better.

It has withstood the test of time and the designs are still as modern to me.

I don't like those Gibson LP shapes. Looks too much like an acoustic.

haha, im just a student is its kinda hard for me to save money.

i started playing around 8-7 years ago without professional training, and recently i've been serious. my friend saw me play and WOOOOSH, he got himself a gibson zakk wylde. i was like @.@, and he cant even play a 3 chords song properly. what a waste man! not calling myself a master or something, but, its sad. really sad..
*
frekaing lucky man....... I don't know how many people are lucky enough to get gibson as their first guitar....

still patiently saving up for my alexi-200...

when you get it, flash us and bring to LYN jams yea? laugh.gif (assuming you don't FFK last minute)

QUOTE(blacktrix @ Jan 25 2008, 01:19 AM)
Yup. Planning to buy a dethklok guitar or an epiphone prophesy AND the biggest purchase of all, the Herman Li E-Gen hopefully by the end of the year......

It's DAMN addictive.
*
Wait, do they have a special edition dethklok guitar, or are you just talking about a Gibby explorer? but the herman li one is an overkill man.

Added on January 26, 2008, 2:44 am@bman: I'm the exact opposite lol. The strat shape has been copied wayy too many times. I mean, look at ibanez, yamaha, jackson, and all the other superstrat makers. It's just far too common to my liking. I like weird shaped guitars, or rather just anything that doesn't have the strat shape in general.

Oh yeah, now I remembered. I was flipping through a few old issues of Guitar World, and some 14 year old kid also has a Gibson Zakk Wylde, list things that he plays: Blink 182.....

True, there are guitar travesties, but know in comfort that you can outshred him any damn day of the week and that one NO money can buy. tongue.gif

Relax dude...... and welcome to the GAS club!

of course la a lil bit jealous...even tho i'm not playing any musical instruments, i do mixed them coz i'm a bedroom dj.
i used only my faithful notebook to mix. well people do have too much money in their lives & spend anything they can without truly taking the potential on it.
i dont really care, i am actually good enough to win up to final session last year, beat those with the correct equipment.

when i do get my alexi 200, i dunno if i'll bring it to the jam sessions cuz it'll be tuned to D and our jam sessions are all tuned to E for convenience sake.. so i'll guess i'll bring my ax biggrin.gif

Oh yeah, if you don't mind ordering online, you should REALLY check out ishibashi. They have Orville by Gibson guitars, which is basically a much better version of Epiphone and almost the same standards as Gibsons themselves.
Cost wise, about the same as Epis..... but quite hard to find here.

No idea to both. Hoping to get it through some people in the forum and would only resort to get it from Bentley last.
