12mp on 1/1.6" sensor  hmm.gif , doesn't sound good still.

Well the new camera uses 8th generation SuperCCD HR, which is not the same as in F50fd. Hope it has better ISO performance.

Added on January 24, 2008, 6:51 pmIt's already in Fujifilm Japan's website wo.

Where you get the picture from? Sure look very high dynamic range indeed.

hmm.gif Too bad it uses NP-50 battery which is the same as F50fd. So don't expect battery life to be as good as F31fd.

wow... that's really good. ISO12800... haha.. mine's almost 10x lower... 1600ISO... .

but why does everybody compare f***d with the f31d? give them a break! sure the porshe 911 was good, but ofcoourse, life moves on, and they have to make money! smile.gif hence f50 and f100d and....! wink.gif

compare amongst the rivals not its predecessors la.a....
*
Because other rivals are far behind to compete with F31fd. So can only expect newer F series to be better lo. tongue.gif

Just go for the F100fd. You won't go wrong. I'm a proud owner of F31fd but in my opinion F100fd is even better: 5x zoom, wide angle, image stabilization, HDR, less purple fringing. ISO performance at 6MP is comparable to F31fd.

the manual control not on F100fd wor...but yup every other aspects are better than F31fd though...
*
Yes, F100fd do have negative points. No aperture/shutter priority control (which i rarely use) and less than half the battery life of F31fd.

actually there's this Manual dial on the camera but it doesn't really let u individually set the Aperture/Shutter value...it will set according to the scene u're taking i guess...so might as well same like Auto dial...
*
On the manual dial it lets you select the ISO, the metering method, white balance, slow syncro flash and exposure compensation. Auto mode all these cannot be set.

Hey guys,
What abt F100fd image stabilizer.. better than IXUS???
Both Canon IXUS 860IS and F100fd also optic image Stabilizer right?

Which one better, optic or the shift type for the Image Stabilizer??
*
From reviews on internet (eg. dpreview.com) Fujifilm's CCD shift type IS is inferior compared to Canon's optical IS.

Of coz la , if u're starting to touch on higher end camera rather than PnS .. Is it among all the brand and model of PnS which is the same level , its about the same ?
Wat the use for IS ? Wat i know is that , when come to low-light condition , u need a high ISO and long exposure to capture movement object  . Where comes to outdoor activity , we need to set to "Spot mode" in order take movement object .. So wat's a IS ?
Sry if i sounds noob as i jst start to learn and know about camera..  whistling.gif
*
IS is important, especially if you don't have steady hands. Furthermore many people like to press the shutter release button hard until the camera shake and the photo turns out blurry. Trust me, this feature sure is helpful under low light condition (birthday party, wedding dinner etc) especially if you turn off the flash.

ok guys , i think i got it .. If the object that we're going to take is stand still , then the IS features is helpfull in order to avoid taking a blur shots might cause our shaking hands during the shoting ..

For a moving object , this is where the "spot mode" comes into picture .. Am i right ?
*
It's "sport mode" not "spot". Basically it just crank up the ISO and therefore shutter speed. Only good for taking moving objects (children playing, people dancing, car racing etc) under BRIGHT lighting condition.
