How to differentiate between old Tiger I and the new one with RX 18? Does the new version comes with black colour box?

I bought these tanks.
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « But one of the unit isnt working. All it do is flashing the headlight and doesnt respond to anything that I press on my transmitter. However, when I swap the battery pack, it works. I suspect the battery pack is kong. Not sure about the charger since my friend already took his tank. So cant troubleshoot further. Any thought? QUOTE(deathpion @ Apr 12 2013, 10:40 AM) low battery voltage. once you press the start button on the transmitter the flashing light should comes on permanently, just charge again the battery pack and try easy way to see whether charger is at fault is the battery will get warm before it is fully charged. hope this helps. anyway the battery provided are craps, i'm using 6000mah lipo batteries for my tanks play till you bored also battery still got lots of juice. hahahaha. Update: Replaced the stock battery pack with 6x AA alkaline battery. The tank still not responding.Damn, I guess either the tank or transmitter is faulty. My best bet is to meet the seller. QUOTE(deathpion @ Apr 17 2013, 10:46 AM) er don't quite get you initially tou stated you use another battery pack it works??? Anyway try to take out the crystal and put back in sometimes they are the culprit. One week agoCharged my battery for 4 hours and the turret and track were working for 1 min only. Suddenly not responding. So I continue to charge for another 4 hours. The tank only able to start engine. When I swapped battery with my friend, my tank worked like charms. Yesterday I was about to order a new Ni-Mh battery online but I want to troubleshoot for last time. So I created my own battery from scratch using 6x Alkaline (6 pcs x 1.2V = 7.2V alkaline = 7.2V Ni-Cd) to replace the stock Ni-Cd battery. Still not working. The same goes to removing tx rx crystal. So my idea to buy new battery is put on halt. This post has been edited by Bront Palabuto: Apr 17 2013, 11:36 AM |
