As stated by Archer13

RX18 is the default ones for HL tanks as of now, less faulty

Any one buy from drc toy shop before? Knw tat there is a shop at puchong perdana selling lot of RC Tank, wonder who deal wit them b4?

Tiger I, thanks for sharing the infor. I had go thru the review by machvelle, i was so tempted to get the ztz99 and vs tank, but both are different scale.

From ur point of view, which one is better and adorable?
*
LOL the bolded part is highly subjective laugh.gif
I personally have both, and from my POV, VSTank is very detailed and nicely proportional. Size aside (and if price is of no concern, but since it's you, I don't think it's a major thing tongue.gif), VSTank is a nice tank for you to have. Do note that they don't have smoke, and unlike Heng Long, there isn't any sound when the tank is idle.

Too bad VS Tank dont come with smoke generator. Btw, what is the different between infra red and airsoft type tank? Sorry for teh noob question, hand see the real thing b4.

IR is using IR Battle System, as for BB/airsoft, it's merely just for pestering/annoying people/pets/test your aiming skills tongue.gif

Ah yes another fact that you need to consider
VSTank is running on AA batts, lotsa em. 16 to be exact

Price wise, Heng Long isnt a bad choice, really. Just have to know which one is good, and which one is meh

winda wondering if i should wait for Leopard 2 to be available or grab one now...

even so, im not sure which to take  sweat.gif

ztz 99, tiger 1, panzer III or panzer IV

any advice?  biggrin.gif maybe certain models has a tendency to break down, or missing loose, small pieces? or old models have more flimsy plastics?  hmm.gif
*
among all, i would advise not to go for tiger i

the earlier tiger i by heng long uses the old rx-13 board, which is problematic
the newer ones does fix the problem with the use of rx-18 along with other improvements, namely:
a. the mantlet is now in correct position
b. the gun is now in correct length

but some is still need of improvement, like:
a. the symmetrical turret shape is still there. the left side should be tad narrower
b. the stowage bin andle should be 90 degrees towards the turret
c. the suspension should be inversed for the left side (both side of suspension arms are swinging towards the back)
d. the commander's cupola end should aim towards the far end front of loader's hatch, which brings the next one
e. the vision slit is somewhat wrong

but all these are some that i can identified. the cover for engine grill is also not historically correct if i do remember well.
get the tiger ii instead tongue.gif

or from the list, any. i don't really check for other tank's accuracy comparison laugh.gif

Accuracy aside, another thing is that Tiger I do enjoy getting tracked since it is using pin. Unlike Tiger II, Tiger I track is narrower, hence the tendency of it being tracked is higher.

so i take it that tiger 1 is to be avoided? unless its a later version production with rx18 board? smile.gif

if such us the case, i might be limited to ztz99 or panzer iv. but ztz99's barrel is a bit too long from the real counterpart, i think.  hmm.gif

or should i wait for leopard 2 still? any ideas when it might arriving by our shores?  laugh.gif
*
don't get me wrong, the new heng long tiger (with rx-18 board) is a great tank. i am just being nitpicky with the accuracy comparative with the real steel. likewise, that is why i didn't get myself heng long jagdpanther and panther g since the lower glacis plate is a bit wrong. that's just me though laugh.gif i like my tank to be as it is without plenty of mod to get it just right, hehe

i would suggest you to get what you want. that way, you will get the maximum satisfaction with every penny spend for such a beauty biggrin.gif

panzer iv is also tad bit inaccurate as well tongue.gif

i do have found the link last time, but that one is stored in my pc
as of now i am replying using hp, so i can't recall the address
but it does involved loosening up plenty of screws, and playing around with the suspension

Word of advise to future tank buyers, if possible get your tanks from shops. Here's the reason, I receive my ZTZ99A tuesday, list of problems, one gearbox is worn meaning used, barrel function no, missing accesories, right track can't go in reverse and misalign and worst case all the right track wheels are without any wheel cap etc. So have to send back to seller pending outcome. Will be receiving my Sherman today from another seller hopes this turns out well. cry.gif
*
that kinda sucks man sad.gif
hopefully your sherman is good oob
