Haha heard about this thread, well i have all the henglong 1/16 tanks, from first generations which were crap until they release the tanks with rx18 boards. The best one i think todate would be the ztz99, bigger than king tiger hahahahaha. Here's some pictures of my collection.[attachmentid=3146628][attachmentid=3146635][attachmentid=3146638][attachmentid=3146644][attachmentid=3146646]

since you got all HL RC tanks, dont mind me asking:
Whatvis your view on the StuG III?

And another thing is: have you done any mod to any of your tanks?
Kinda interested, hehe
QUOTE(Acher13 @ Nov 9 2012, 07:18 PM)
Guys, got any online shop to buy these tanks?

I tried to order Panzer IV model from DRC toys but after I check out they told me its out of stock after after all inquiring about shipping and such...

and yeah, I want that particular model.

you might want to pm that person from fb that i share a few post up

Regarding the Stug III i think i got it from the fb guy. For Stug III they don't come with bb version just the ir version. I don't modify the tank much but throughout internal i'm ok to solve most issues like smoker, range, functions as to be frank most of the tanks i got suffered from lots of minor problems, like missing parts, wrong parts, broken parts, hence the problem with buying online. If I have a shop here selling here at around the same price better. For ztz i changed the motors to simulate speed for modern tanks, meaning faster loh. All my tanks are running on 5000mah lipo battery just have to modify the battery compartment. Frankly at their price all of the tanks from heng long are a bargain. I remember when they came out with the tiger i more than 10 years back i was one of the first to get it costing more than rm400 each without smoke and sound from hong kong and all of them last less than a minute run before frying the circuit boards. That's why after that i got the tokyo marui and vs tank, just started collecting the heng long ones after a long term of phobia. You're welcome to pm me on any issues, i'll be glad to help if i could. Cheers. tongue.gif

i see
Maybe later i would want to haul on that stug, hehe
I dont mind if its bb or ir, just as long as its in correct dimension
Ownibg one does give ine such satisfaction since tamiya is tad too much to ask for tongue.gif
maybe later we could discuss on the internal part, i still have a lot to learn sweat.gif
Interested to upgrade to elmod or slu, but as of now, maybe one should wait. Tad expensive for me

yup, I don't mind that as I like the design for both.

anyway, got other sites? I pmed the fb guy and only panzer iii available, not much interested on the others.
then I tried ebay and seller is from canada, the shipping gonna cost a bomb for that T^T
*
have you tried finding in shops?
Although the chances are slim, but at least mayne there is some. So far i know some shops in BTS are selling, but i only saw tigers and pershing.

Any story why do you fancy the panzer iv btw?
Just wanna know your side of story, hehe

too bad I'm in sabah now, if not I'll go search all the way from BTS to Damansara..

for story, love at first sight? lol, the design look badass be it F1/F2.. I wanna get the sturm iii too but I want one with turning turret as starter.
Tiger is panzer vi right? while leopard is panzer v?
*
ah i see
I dont think i know how to help more since idk how one would find a rc tank over there :|
Panzer iv is definately awesome, just that the box like design is somewhat defective since it has virtually no slope armor
Yes tiger is panzer vi, but for panzer v, thats panther. If youre finding a panther, go for panther g, not the pantiger biggrin.gif

Forthe mod you can have another tank.??? eventually i think collect those that you want then go slowly from there, tongue.gif

Acher 13, just for info being online has it's risk too as you can't see and test the physical thing. I have both the seller's email and if you want i can pm you. For info the panzer iv they are selling the F1 is desert yellow colour and f2 grey other than that the shape is identical except for the barrel..cheers

nevertheless, the seller sold out his StuG III already :/

checked everything in box is alright, now waiting for battery to fully charge.

how do I know full charge when there's no led indicator on charger?
*
congrats on hauling them both
how much did you get them for btw

as for the charging, usual thing that people would tell is around 4 hour, but from what i read, you ought to charge it till the batt feels warm, not hot

the figure, what is that, and what scale it is
looks lovely smile.gif

not bad i say

urm, not recommended afaik
but one thing for sure, if one would want to change the track, one should bear in mind that
change track --> weight issue --> suspension prone to breaking --> change suspension --> weight issue --> gearbox prone to breaking --> change gearbox --> weight issue --> motor suspension prone to breaking --> change motor --> weight issue --> body not rigid enough etc etc

that's what i heard
so if i am to mod, i'll go for the sound, hehe

link Panzer IV
but pictar is Panzer III hmm.gif

Personally til now I am still yet to find a StuG. IMO Heng Long's StuG would be better since it's much more accurate OOB comparative to Heng Long's Panzer IV, something about the stowage bin doesn't seem right to me. If possible, do get any new tanks of Heng Long that utilize RX18 board, you'll likely to be disappointed by it. Example would be King Tiger and Panther G, if I'm not mistaken. Detail accuracies of the tank would be better than the earlier ones smile.gif

ah, that's unfortunate

Archer13, could you do me a favor and snap the bottom of hull for both Panzer III and Panzer IV?

If I am not mistaken the StuG is labelled 1/18 regardless of the box scale (1/16). Just want a clarification smile.gif
