Don't worry, Canon dSLR prices drop quickly while Nikon and Sony won't. Whether that's a good thing or bad thing depends on whether you wanna buy or sell... and when, hehe.

Usually how quick is that?

Here's a review on 450D from cameralabs.

For those who have to budget, get 40D. Unlike me, my maximum budget can only go until 450D.

I'm still looking for a High Speed SD, Kingston Elite Pro or Sandisk Ultra II, any recommendations? Most probably I'm getting 4GB.

@hao

Sandisk ultra II would be fine. You can try extreme III or IV if you have the budget =P
*
I guess I'll go for Sandisk Ultra II, Extreme III is waaaaaaay out of my budget. A very big hole in my pocket currently laugh.gif

1. Shipping cost.
2. No competitors, unlike Sg Wang.

hey guyz, what the diff between 400d & 450d?

i'm 400d owner, need all ur poison to buy this 450d? what so special about it? tell me....
*
You own a 400D, and I don't think you need to upgrade it to 450D. Wait, this is not even an upgrade. Either you use the money to get a decent lens or get 40D straight away.

I just got to hold a 450D this afternoon. It's light! The screen looks bigger than my 40D. It looks very much like a 400D actually. laugh.gif
*
Yeap, look almost the same, but there's a slight difference when you hold both of them.

I see 2 pieces of breadboard near your 450D. What are you trying to create for your camera? Btw, how much you bought the breadboard?
*
No lah, that is for final year project... lol
How much ah... forgot d, cos I bought it a long time ago. Should be around RM13 if I'm not mistaken.

Final year project should be quite advanced eh? Can you make anything for Canon cameras such as remote trigger? tongue.gif
*
Might give it a try if I'm not lazy, and I'm lazy most of the time, maybe incapable of doing it too... LOL... Eh wait, a remote trigger?! That's very very challenging if it's going to be a wireless one sweat.gif

So far nobody DIY one?

The wired trigger can be easily made but so far no one has designed their own schematic for wireless trigger. Some of them bought and modify DIY kits to work as a wireless trigger.
*
But wireless trigger looks cooler brows.gif
Hmmm... see if I'm hardworking enough to do some research first in the future, now having final exam tongue.gif

its seems taller for 450D...i like the feel when holding 450D than 400D...thats y i choose 450D...
*
Yeap, the pop-out flash of 450D is taller than 400D too. That's the same reason why I chose 450D instead of 400D other than the features.

"Get the one you feel comfortable holding and playing it."

That's the comment I got the most when I was searching for a suitable DSLR.

There's a lot of 16GB CF cards for sale. Oops.. 450D uses SD right?
*
Yeap, and SD does come with 16GB. I'm using a 8GB SD btw tongue.gif
