There was always delay when they bring in PlayStation products
Sony shop sells PS3 more expensive, Why other ordinary shops sells cheaper?

because it's very unlikely that the firmware is crackable, it's a better idea to buy PS3 from local Sony if it's made available already.

QUOTE(skyracer @ Jan 24 2008, 11:56 AM) Ceh... I thought Sony stealth launch PS3. if i were their boss, i straightaway fire them Btw, you can forget about asking sales staff at Sony outlet about gaming stuff, they have no idea. The coolest reply i got? "PS3 is not a Sony product"... Added on January 24, 2008, 2:07 pm QUOTE(visva @ Jan 24 2008, 11:43 AM) So PS3 not launch in M'sia... but Sony shop has it. I went to KLCC Sony shop somemore few months back they were like putting it in the middle of the shop like a showcase. If you go now, you can see the white one as well. they put a board saying "coming soon" next to it how soon is soon? This post has been edited by dattebayo: Jan 24 2008, 02:07 PM |

QUOTE(aiman04 @ Jan 24 2008, 10:01 PM) The girl at SonyStyle KLCC told me that it was the government that has not approved the PS3. I LOL'ed hard lor She told me, Sony is actually eager to launch since months. here is not china lah... if gomen didn't approve PS3, u ll see those sg wang shops has long time been raided by KPDN HEP people alrdy... many merchants would already jump building loh Added on January 24, 2008, 10:10 pmimo, there is always some priority regions for PlayStation in Asia, they will focus on TW, HK, then Singapore. We are placed in the place same as thailand, vietnam, philipines and china. Possible reasons, our buying power isn't as strong as other priority countries, and rampant piracy here. QUOTE(Hitman190 @ Jan 25 2008, 11:18 AM) Sony Malaysia are inept to say the least, they are poorly trained and lets face it...they are about as interesting as a pair of socks... it's a miracle where a japanese corporation could tolerate these 3rd class minded employees I honestly cannot believe that Sony would hire these people. I still remember...I played tekken 4 with my friend... The staff just stood there in front of the doorway and not doing anything...we played that game for about 2 hours without being stopped. the only reason why we left is cause we got bored by the staff... if i not mistaken, last time PS2 was launched only in end of 2002/early 2003, a delay of 1-2 years compare to other major markets. If this theory holds, we might able to see PS3 in Sony.my website by the end of this year. sooner or later, they will release the PS3 eventually, or else why the hell they put it in Sony store even it's in display case |

even until today PS3 are still sold at subsidized price, which means Sony is losing some money for every PS3 sold. But then, their investment has seen the payoff, which is the early demise of HD-DVD
the format war could end way earlier than we expected is partly of the PS3 bluray feature, following the soon to be RIP HD-DVD, the industry will turn to solely bluray solution and the cost of manufacture will eventually turn down. |

QUOTE(SSJBen @ Feb 25 2008, 03:06 PM) HD-DVD = Dead already. lol cant wait for that day Sooner or later, I do think that Blu-Ray discs will start to be pirated. Theres the problem with ICT(Image Contraint Token), but many has already found a way around it. Wouldn't be too suprising few years down the line we see Blu-Ray being sold for RM8. |
