if it got the coverage problem, how much the cost to fix it? i live in sentul area n i used maxis..

I think around RM100 for a new original housing. But if your problem was coverage problem. I think that was a normal problem for N80 since I'm using my phone in remote area in Sarawak. Compare to other phone I have, my N80 have the worst coverage.

in my opinion, it is the most cheaper shop for repairing n fixing the phone..
it fixing on the spot.. no need to wait 2,3 days..

also it has a 1 week warrenty for the selected part that been change..

i ook my n80 to shop for keypad repairing and then the CB guy play2 wif my phone and suddenly the koy lock the sim card...DAMN!!

abd then...he said dat my phone must be unlucke the sim locking....130RM charging!!!!!

sim locked, means what? cannot use other sim card or cannot use other network (operator)?

or is it phone lock code that u're looking for?
if yes, u can google for nokia master code software/website.
just enter yor EMEI number and get 10 digits master unlock code to override the 5 digits security code.
with master this code, u can reset phone lock code.
with phone lock code, u can reset what ever function in the fon. or even reset to factory settings.

Greetings everyone ..ok straight to the topic on my 1st post ..
Using n80ie for quite a while ...then i having my 2nd ribbons problem ..so i send it to the shop
ok..they fix the ribbon probs..now when i wan start my phone it say simcard not valid and i cant even go the menu or whatever
...tried my simcard in 3 other phone including my friend n80 and my
simcard work perfectly ..when i start my phone without simcard everything is fine i can go hear song use it perfectly..ofcourse no sms or call..
once again i put simcard eveything literely failed..hope u guys can help me here where to fix / how much cost / time needed or any information ..

Perhaps the sim card contact point already damage and cause reading failure to your phone. I have not faced that problem but it is better for you to go to several shop and compared their price for fixing that problem...

Added on February 19, 2009, 12:53 pmRibbon problem cause your phone only show white screen on the display and you can't use your phone until you fix it. It happened to me once.

For easy screen spoil, so far I never faced that problem after more than a year using it. (I bought it 2nd hand)

how much is the price of a 2nd hand n80?

The cheapest i saw yesterday at lelong.com.my was below RM300 but dunno how much shop selling it now because i never found shop selling this model.

wow..quite cheap.. my friend traded in his 2nd hand 6500c with a 2nd hand n80 and need to topup rm70 because he didnt give his 4gh microSDHC card from the 6500c and bought the n80 with 2gb card.

It's my turn...i suspect my ribbon is broken..any recommendation on where to get it fixed at a good price?and around how much???

p/s perhaps it's time for the phone to retire... but my initial plan was to use it for another 6 months.

I get ribbon change for only RM60 (in Bintulu)...

Anyway, while changing my ribbon. i just ask one of the salesperson how much they will take 2nd hand N80 for... They answer i get... We didn't take it anymore la...

this depends on the place ...in my hometown...an n80 is still somewhat famous ...sort of..

Maybe you are right... I think at current N80 should be the cheapest phone with WiFi and 3G available in the market... Correct me if I'm wrong...
