Wolverine's name is James Howlett. His memory recovered during the House of M incident. Mutants were wiped off the face of the planet by Magneto's daughter (and also hero Avenger) by wishing "Let there be no more mutants.

If they based Wolverine on Origins. We might be able to see key characters that made and trained the Wolverine we had today. People involved like .. Wolverine saving Erik Magnus (Magneto) when Magneto was a child. He served the war with Captain America. His Weapon X team were Maverick, Silver Fox, Creed and himself.

Maybe we might see him involved in the Canadian version of the X-Men, called Alpha Flight. If this did involve Weapon X, we would see him kill Lady Deathstrike's dad in this movie (Lady Deathstrike is the adamantium nailed cyborg non mutie lady in X-Men2).

Sabretooth and Wolverine's history doesnt started from Weapon X. It started when Wolverine and him were just kids. They grew up together .. from friends .. to foes.

well, the movie will not be based on marvel comics origin storyline. it would be a prequel to the first x-men movie that focus all on wolverine. mutant x program and his encounter with sabretooth. sabretooth and silverfox (logan's girlfriend) will be in the movie.

can't wait to see it cause i really love how hugh jackman plays wolverine! rclxms.gif

I can't recall a Mariko. I know of Yuriko though. Silver Samurai?? Who knows. Did mention possible suprise from the Marvel universe. Captain America maybe??? Possibly even the Alpha Flight.

Found out that Avi Arad has confirmed an animated series called Wolverine and the X-Men as well. Pity they couldn't cast Cathal J. Dodd as Wolverine though. He has been doing Wolverine ever since the earlier animated series and also for all the games i.e. X-Men vs Street Fighter and the likes. Very suited to Wolverine.

Yeah! I heard bout the Cartoon, psylocke might be in it(but as a villain i heard)
If my mind serves me right Mariko was Wolvie's GF, which he nearly married(could be wrong bout the name though)..so she must be somewhat important for his history unless they wanted to change the plot

I read somewhere that Silverfox is played by someone... cant remember the name now... but they revealed the actress...

EDIT:

HER -------> Michelle Monaghan

and Sabretooth is him --------------> Liev Schreiber (NOT William Stryker as rumoured)

unfortunately, mariko would not be in the movie. as much as i hope she would be in...and the filming location does not include japan. so we can't see logan in samurai suit with mariko. i still hope that they can shoot a few scene in japan..

Hm... Wolverine Origins.... judging from the leaked news it seems that the movie will be based on Weapon X's storyline more than the official Wolverine: Origins storyline which featured the aristocratic Howlett family and the drunkard gardener Logan.

relationship? what relationship? the first movie portrayed Sabretooth as a 1-dimensional villain that didn't even have lines!! doh.gif

plus the fact that Bryan Singer totally made Cyclops gay.. shakehead.gif

the parts that he did right though were Wolvie, Prof X, Mystique, Toad and the blackbird. hmm.. it seems there's more good points than bad. nvm then laugh.gif

this will be different than the x-men1 sabretooth. we can only assume that in x-men1, wolverine cannot recall his past with sabretooth but sabretooth actually remembers wolverine (remember the tag he grab from wolverine?)
no worry about cyclops, he won't have any appearance in this movie. must admit that cyclops is not properly shown in all the x-men movies.

sweat.gif Agree totally about the part about gay-ifying Scott Summers. From a great Xmen leader to a sissy boy who got KO'ed from the early parts of every episode. doh.gif

I felt really disappointed in the Xmen series apart from their sleek outfits. It totally ruined what Xmen meant to me as they messed up almost all of the characters and made the important ones into side characters.

Sabretooth's role in Wolvie's history is pretty important as he is his main rival. I'm hoping to see how their friendship turned into dust in this installment of the Xmen franchise.

Seriously?

How is Gambit going to fit into the Weapon X storyline? I sure hope it's not a cameo just to satisfy the fanboys... I want full action Gambit with serious impact on the Xmen storyline, not pretty-yet-useless chap like how they did to Cyclops. doh.gif

Can't think of any actor which will suit Gambit... unsure.gif

yah, it's confirmed and here's the actor.

he may not be involved in the weapon x but i guess it may be a team up with wolverine after the weapon x to seek revenge. just hope he had the cajun accent and wears a trenchcoat. since this is a prequel to xmen movie, he may portray a young gambit. remember in the synopsis they mentioned that "Wolverine encounters many mutants, both familiar and new, including surprise appearances by several legends of the X-Men universe."

Will.i.am to appear in Wolverine film

user posted image

Rapper-singer-producer Will.i.am is set to add actor to his list of titles. The Black Eyed Peas leader will make his feature acting debut in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, the X-Men spinoff starring Hugh Jackman. The film will trace the origins of the popular mutant superhero.

Will.i.am--real name William Adams--will play Wraith, a mutant with the power to make himself translucent. Production began this month in New Zealand before moving to Australia. A New Orleans shoot also is on the docket. Fox is releasing the film everywhere May 1, 2009.

Pretty impressive... the second picture does resemble the comic book cover biggrin.gif

Just hope that he has red glowing pupils too biggrin.gif
The trenchcoat is a must, hopefully a black one too as the Xmen uniforms are all shiny black leather suits. I'd like him to ditch the goofy body armour too.

Most likely in the final parts of the movie where Logan meets up with the X-men... and maybe the earliest students of Prof X, such as Beast, Jean Grey, and Scott will show up as cameos.

For a caucasian dude, 5 foot 3 is pretty small sized. Even for Asians it's more towards the lower end.

Hugh Jackman's portrayal of Wolverine is pretty spot on, only that his voice is not scruffy enough. Maybe a growl like Bale's Batman, that'll be nice.

X-men - Origins is one of the most anticipated movies of 09′. Oscar-winning director Gavin Hood, producer and star Hugh Jackman will no doubt bring us a great movie full of action.

The film will focus on Wolverine’s past as he “discovers the world of mutants and, ultimately, the ominous Weapon X program, which turns people into living weapons.

Hugh Jackman’s Mantra In ‘Wolverine’ Movie? ‘Consistently Bad-Ass,’ Says Former Fox Exec

Sure, any comic book fan worth his longboxes knows that Wolverine is the best there is at what he does — but will his upcoming debut as a solo act in “X-Men Origins: Wolverine” live up to the hype? Former 20th Century Fox exec (and comic book author) Jeff Katz, who returned from the set of “Wolverine” just a few months ago, certainly seems to think so, bub.

“I think it delivers — so I’m not particularly worried about that,” Katz told MTV, only to add exactly why he thinks Logan’s upcoming solo debut will be his best story yet.

“I’m of the belief that you can boil down these characters to a couple of key words, phrases or images that sum up the tone and tenor of what they should be,” explained Katz. “And to me and [Hugh] Jackman, our mantra for Wolverine has really been one term: ‘bad-ass.’ As long as Wolverine is consistently bad-ass, people are generally going to go with you. That’s what they want from that character.”

“Iron Man comes out and it does a tremendous business, Batman comes out and it does a tremendous business, and the inclination in the movie biz a lot of the time is, ‘Well, that thing just worked, so we have to chase that,’” continued Katz. “But as comics people know, Batman is not Iron Man is not Superman is not Wolverine — they’re all different.”

According to Katz, it’s that grasp of comics and their characters that informed production of “Wolverine” from the start, and the exec — who left Fox earlier this year for a project he’ll announce any day now — heaped praise upon Jackman for his appreciation of the ol’ Canucklehead.

“Jackman is an actor who gets the character innately. He understands that he owes his career to that character,” said Katz, who added that he’s dead-serious about “Wolverine” showing a side of Logan that’s considerably darker than anything we’ve seen in the “X-Men” films thus far.

“If you saw that Comic-Con trailer, that bit at the end where he tells [Schreiber] he’s going to cut his goddamn head off,” said Katz, “that is very much Logan’s tone throughout the movie.”

“At the end of the day, it’s a more personal ‘X-Men’ movie. It’s a darker X-Men movie,” added Katz.

The former exec was quick to add that, while Jackman is certainly the star of the show, Logan will be joined by quite a few other fanboy-friendly characters who will vie for audience’s attention — characters who could live on outside of “Wolverine.”

“The dynamic between Jackman and Liev Schreiber is excellent, and ultimately informs their arc together, but the fun of this movie is just to freshen it up and get some new faces, in terms of the characters you’re getting to play with — and it does put a few of them in a position to be explored in other areas,” teased Katz. “It nicely sets up a lot of the places for this version of the franchise to go.”

As for exactly what that direction might be, Katz said his status as a former Fox exec limited his knowledge of the studio’s plans for “Wolverine” and the “X-Men Origins” franchises — but he certainly has some ideas about where Logan could be headed post-”Wolverine.”

“I can’t speak to what’s been discussed in the interim since I’ve been gone, but Mr. Jackman certainly has a desire to go to Japan,” said Katz. “As the single most beloved member of the X-Men universe, I have a hard time believing this is the last you’ll see of Wolverine.”

Excited about “X-Men Origins: Wolverine”? Be sure to come back tomorrow for some thoughts on the film from Logan himself, Hugh Jackman! Until then, let us know what you think about Katz’ assessment of the film and what you’re taking from it!

Wolverine Trailer Confirmed for December 12!

user posted image

We have officially confirmed with 20th Century Fox that the first trailer for Wolverine will hit theaters with the studio's The Day the Earth Stood Still on December 12. The trailer will be exclusively available in theaters and will not debut online or on TV until some time later. Be sure to check your local paper or online for theater listings!

Directed by Gavin Hood, the May 1, 2009 release stars Hugh Jackman, Liev Schreiber, Ryan Reynolds, Taylor Kitsch, Will.i.am, Danny Huston, Dominic Monaghan, Daniel Henney and Lynn Collins.

Leading up to the events of X-Men, Wolverine tells the story of Wolverine's epically violent and romantic past, his complex relationship with Victor Creed, and the ominous Weapon X program. Along the way, Wolverine encounters many mutants, both familiar and new, including surprise appearances by several legends of the X-Men universe.

Wolverine Claws Onto Empire's Cover

user posted image

Everyone’s been so excited about this year’s Iron Man, and the Avenger themed follow-ups that are coming, we’ve almost forgotten completely about the mutant side of Marvel’s super-hero universe. Next year will see the X-Men franchise continue with X-Men Origins: Wolverine hitting theaters. Fortunately, Empire Magazine hasn’t forgotten about the muties, and is giving Hugh Jackman the cover treatment for its January issue.

Along with gracing the cover with claws and mutton chops, Jackman gives some insight as to what fans can expect from the X-Men prequel: "There's a scene in the first X-Men movie, where Wolverine's introduced in a bar, fighting in a cage, and you felt that he did this every night of his life. If this movie is successful, you should feel that this guy can walk straight off the end of this film and into that bar.”

Jackman isn’t the only one talking for the cover article. The magazine also talks to some of the other cast members, including Danny Huston, who plays a younger version of William Stryker, the character played by Brian Cox in X-Men 2. His comments on the character, and his conflicted reaction to the existence of mutants, sounds right on par with the character we saw in the second X-Men flick. ” The thing about Stryker is that he feels like he's got this God-given right, that he's on a crusade. He both loves and hates mutants, because his son was a mutant and murdered his wife. So he understands what they're going through but despises their force, their potential danger. It's wonderfully complicated."

Just this little tidbit is enough to remind me why we liked the X-Men movies… at least the first two of the franchise (here’s hoping Wolverine will follow in the footsteps of Bryan Singer’s movies). For more information on this prequel, check out the January issue of Empire Magazine.

Hugh Jackman On Bringing ‘X-Men Origins: Wolverine’ Back For A Sequel…In Japan

Fresh off being named “Sexiest Man Alive” by People Magazine, Hugh Jackman has a lot to be thankful for these days. His epic Baz Luhrmann film “Australia” hits theaters today, and he’s returning to the big screen as one of comics’ most popular superheroes, Wolverine, in next year’s “X-Men Origins: Wolverine.”

In the following video, Jackman explains to MTV that there are plenty of surprises left for the “Wolverine” audience, and not only tells us that he’d like to do another film, but teases the story he’d like to tell.

“The most intriguing thing to me was the Japan story. I love the Japan story,” said Jackman. “I wanted to do the Japan story from around ‘X-Men 2.’ Can you just picture Wolverine in Japan with the triads and the samurai? It’s just genius.”

Why wasn’t that story told? Jackman had an answer for that, too — one that sounded quite a bit like the answer former Fox exec Jeff Katz gave us when asked about a potential “Wolverine” sequel.

“How can you do that before you explain his origins?” said Jackman. “If we tried to mix the origin and Japan together, it wouldn’t do justice to either. So you can tell by the answer where I’d like it to go.”

If you're amped for next summer's WOLVERINE solo flick (oh, sorry -- X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE), keep your Xbox 360 or PS3 ready and waiting -- you'll get the chance to carve your foes and heal gaping battle wounds yourself.

Activision and developer Raven (the team behind past games X-MEN LEGENDS and MARVEL: ULTIMATE ALLIANCE) are hard at work on the digital Logan likeness and his lethal mutantness. The game is set for release in May 2009 to coincide with the movie's release (that's some kind of screenshot, concept art or cutscene graphic from the game above). Maybe they'll also find a way to work Mystique in the game somewhere, to satiate my blue-chick fetish.

Details, per press release: "We have an amazing team with Raven Studios at the helm, creating what will undoubtedly be the quintessential, true-to-character Wolverine video game experience that fans have been craving," said Rob Kostich, vice president, global brand management, Activision Publishing, Inc. "X-Men Origins: Wolverine amps up the action by bringing to life Wolverine's wholly unique skills such as his brute strength, regenerative mutant abilities, and indestructible adamantium claws and skeleton in an immersive experience that is fitting to one of the most enduring and popular characters of all time."

X-Men Origins: Wolverine is an epic action-adventure featuring a true-to-character Wolverine gameplay experience that takes gamers through and beyond the movie's storyline. Set in a variety of vivid real-world locales, the title challenges players to hone their animal instinct as they uncover hidden dangers, hunt and destroy enemies, and take on seemingly insurmountable situations while discovering the truth about Wolverine's tragic past. With razor-sharp adamantium claws unsheathed, the future X-Man enacts lightning-quick combat, evasive maneuvers, in-depth combo attacks, and an array of brutal finishing moves. Wolverine doesn't just deliver massive damage, either -- he also takes it, thanks to his mutant regenerative power that heals him in real time right before the player's eyes.

Extra Tidbit: In the X2 tie-in game WOLVERINE'S REVENGE, Wolvie was voiced by Mark Hamill. Of course.

Wolvie's mutant pals!

user posted image

Now that the trailer for X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE is online, we can finally start to get a better look at all the mutants from the X-Men Universe who will be making appearances! I went through a HD version of the trailer frame-by-frame and grabbed as many Marvel characters as I could and I've compiled them below with a little information on each...

SABRETOOTH
user posted image

Real Name: Victor Creed
Powers: Sabretooth's primary mutant power is an accelerated healing factor that enables him to regenerate damaged or destroyed tissue with far greater speed and efficiency than an ordinary human.  He possesses superhumanly acute senses of sight, hearing, smell, and taste - although perhaps not of touch - comparable to those of certain animals, allowing him to track prey similar to the way dogs and wolves do. Currently, Sabretooth's entire skeleton has been artificially infused with the, virtually indestructible, alloy known as Adamantium.

SILVER FOX
user posted image

Real Name: Silver Fox
Powers: Silver Fox was a mutant whose superhuman powers were never revealed. She received age suppression treatments from the Weapon X Program, causing her to age slowly, if at all, over a period of decades. She also allegedly possessed a healing factor distilled from Wolverine’s. Silver Fox was an experienced markswoman and a highly trained hand-to-hand combatant.

DEADPOOL
user posted image

Real Name: Wade Wilson
Powers: Deadpool possesses a superhuman healing factor derived from that of the mutant Wolverine that allows him to regenerate damaged or destroyed areas of his cellular structure at a rate far greater than that of an ordinary human.  Deadpool is an extraordinary hand-to-hand combatant and is skilled in multiple unarmed combat techniques. He is a master of assassination techniques, is an excellent marksman, and is highly skilled with bladed weapons.

GAMBIT
user posted image

Real Name: Remy LeBeau
Powers: Gambit has the mutant ability to tap into the potential energy contained within an object and transform it into kinetic energy upon touching it. When Gambit thus charges an object and throws it at a target, the object releases this energy explosively on impact.

AGENT ZERO
user posted image

Real Name: Christoph Nord
Powers: Agent Zero is a mutant who can absorb the kinetic energy of an impact within certain limits without injury to himself. Zero must then release the energy he absorbs and can channel it as blasts of concussive-corrosive energy via an acidic enzyme secreted from his fingertips. Agent Zero is a deadly hand-to-hand combatant, a precision marksman, and an expert in covert operations and demolitions.

BLOB
user posted image

Real Name: Frederick "Fred" J. Dukes
Powers: The Blob could create a mono-directional gravity field extending five feet from his center of balance, rendering himself virtually immovable as long as he was in contact with the ground. His body has superhuman strength and durability; the fat tissues can absorb the impact of bullets, cannonballs, and even missiles.

JOHN WRAITH
user posted image

Real Name: John Wraith
Powers: Wraith has the ability to seemingly appear and disappear at will. He uses "shaped charges," bombs whose blasts are precisely controlled.

EMMA FROST
user posted image

Real Name: Emma Frost
Powers: Emma Frost is a mutant who possesses various telepathic talents. Emma can read minds and project her thoughts into the minds of others, project psionic force bolts which have no physical effects but which can affect a victim's mind so as to cause the victim pain or unconsciousness, and can also induce mental pain merely by touching the brow of her victim. Furthermore, as a consequence of continued mutation, Emma can now transform her skin and hair into a diamond-hard form at will.

When I first found out Ryan would play Deadpool, I was thrilled. Then I saw the Comic-Con teaser trailer and thought why the hell does Deadpool look like that.

After watching the newest trailer, I spotted Deadpool in how he actually looks like.

Watch 1:55, and the guy doing the roundhouse kick is Deadpool. He's bald and you can actually see the scars on his body.

Now, I'm thrilled again.

Wolverine website

So the official website for Marvel's upcoming X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE has come online and it's understandably bare bones right now. There's the logo, a countdown clock and the trailer. The film, of course, tells the story of how Logan aka Wolverine came to be the unpredictable, adamantium infused berserker we all know and love. Click through to check it out. Wolvie faces off against Sabretooth and a myriad of Weapon X superheroes on May 1st.

wait for it.... WOLVERINE

Added on January 8, 2009, 12:08 amwell.. has anyone talked yet about how you think the story will progress in this one?

where do you think the story will pick up from?

does anyone know if james howlett knows his true identity prior to the weapon x brainwashing program? oh wait... of coz not... if it follows the comics, he went into denial and assumed the name logan right after when he lari from kampung...
hmm...any ideas on how they will move the story along and how the characters make their appearances? (cyclops, storm, gambit, emma frost, blob, silver fox, deadpool,.. hmm who else..)

Extensive WOLVERINE Reshoots Are Happening

user posted image

Sources have informed us that Fox is conducting extensive re-shoots for "X-Men Origins: Wolverine", some or all of those re-shoots in Vancouver.  And by "extensive" we're not talking about a few days of pick-ups.  More curious was the studio considered bringing in a few journalists to cover these re-shoots.  Now usually re-shoots such as this are done quietly.  Studios don't want you to know they done f***ed up and can't get their shit together in the editing room.

As for the production, everyone (and by "everyone", I mean the world of online film journalists) knows that Gavin Hood was not getting to make the movie he wanted while on set.  There have been reports of Fox basically going around Hood and micro-managing like they always do.  Example: some sets were re-painted because it's what the execs wanted, not what Hood wanted.

user posted image

There have also been many leaked reports that Richard Donner was on the set in some capacity while they were filming.  Some in the online world have speculated that Mr. Donner was doing more than just standing around, casting long, adoring gazes at Taylor Kitsch (although he can hardly be faulted if that was the case).  We can neither confirm nor substantiate these claims about Donner since we weren't there and we don't know.  But with Gavin Hood helming the re-shoots, Fox and Hood must have come to an understanding and are clearly trying to salvage one of the summer tent-poles of 2009.  Let's hope that Fox is spending all this money to finally give fans the movie that they've been clamoring for.

This all leads to the big question: What the hell kind of "Wolverine" movie are they making?  Is it f***ING EPIC like the trailer?  Is it a softer, perhaps sillier comic book movie like "Fantastic 4"?  Or is it true to the bad-ass character of the comics that fans have loved ever since he was introduced back in 1974?  Fans want a dark, gritty "Wolverine" movie because that's what the character is.  Those adamantium claws aren't for back scratches, they're for back impalements.  If "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" is closer to the "PG" side of the tracks than the hard-"PG-13" side where fans want it, then the movie will open huge but when those other big summer releases come along, it will disappear like all off Fox's movies last year.

The Day the Earth Stood Still
Marley & Me

Other than "Marley & Me", this is the gang that couldn't shoot straight.  The quality of these films ranges from mediocre to holocaust.  It is one of the worst slates in recent memory and Fox needs to do something and they need to do it with "Wolverine".

user posted image

"Wolverine" is important for multiple reasons: first, if "Wolverine" doesn't go over well, then not only do sequels for that character go away, but other potential spin-offs, such as Deadpool and Gambit and other mutants, also vanish.  Second, if Fox screws over a character as popular as "Wolverine", then compounded with the ill-will garnered by their behavior with "Watchmen", the geek community will have their biggest punching bag since George Lucas.  Every film that tries to appeal to the coveted 18-34 male demographic will be an uphill battle in terms of marketing and getting that demo excited.

So with these re-shoots, as with any re-shoots, Fox is trying to "fix" the problem.  Granted, the problem seems to be their own doing, but at least they're trying to hit the undo-button.  Hence, that's why journalists might be invited to the set during the re-shoots—to show everyone how Fox is trying to make good on this movie.  Fox is going to spend millions more to make the movie they were supposed to make in the first place.

user posted image

Sounds great, right?  Fox may have finally pulled its head out of its ass.  I know I'm giving 20th Century Fox a lot of shit but look at that list of films again.  A good handful of those films aren't just bad or forgettable.  They're abominations in the eyes of the Lord.

We contacted Fox before running this story to get their comments.  Their response is that these shoots were always planned and are intended to capture specific weather conditions.  Personally, I think it's better if they're trying to turn a corner in the way they're planning to make movies, but "weather conditions" is their official reasoning for these shoots in Vancouver.

So if Fox is turning a corner, then more power to them.  I want to see a great "Wolverine" movie as much as you do.  But trust isn't earned overnight and we'll keep following leads and talking to sources to see if Fox can redeem itself with this highly-anticipated movie.

Email from Hugh Jackman regarding WOLVERINE reshoots!

Hey folks, Harry here... Apparently Hugh tried to send this to me yesterday. I never received his email. Today, a concerned fairy godmother connected loosely between myself and the man-god Hugh Jackman, tells me that apparently I'm ignoring an email from Hugh Jackman. Interesting... so we begin a series of communications via another party between Hugh and I... and sure enough we discover that I can not get mail from FOX.COM. Apparently they can't send out to me, yet I can mail in. INTERESTING. Suffice to say, we worked out the tech angles and I got the email and the picture from Hugh.

Now, before we go on to this - you should know that officially this is what is happening. You won't hear from any official source the problems that have occurred on this film. That said, there is very very good news. DARK KNIGHT's rather phenomenal success is helping the creatives behind WOLVERINE to unleash the sort of Wolverine that we're hoping for, let's hope for the best, cuz honestly wouldn't we all want an amazing WOLVERINE movie... set in Japan... ahem. HELLFIRE CLUB... well, if we are ever to see any of that - this one has to work. Let's hope that the work in frozen Vancouver will do exactly that.

Hey Mate- Would you mind posting this? Thank you for your support! HJ

Hey everyone -

It's Hugh Jackman, sending this note from freezing Vancouver. I have read a lot of your online comments regarding the footage that we are currently shooting and I share your passion for the Wolverine character and the movie - I owe it all to you guys!

I wanted to reach out and let you know that due to scheduling conflicts with certain cast members and location/weather considerations, we had to wait until now to shoot a couple of scenes. Please rest assured that WOLVERINE will be badass and hopefully meet all of your expectations. I am stoked by the positive response to the teaser, which clearly reflects the tone and scope of the film. If you like that, we've got much more in store!

In the meantime, here's an exclusive shot of some characters you may recognize...

Cheers,

Hugh

reshoot? bullsh!t!
why didn't they think about Fox's dignity at first?

weather conditions?
owh why didn't they plan their sets ahead before wrapping the shots?
yeah, i know weather is unpredictable but why are they still rolling it at first?

those are just excuses, not reasons.
there must be something behind these.

but anyway, i hope their hard works will pay us off.

watched the trailer and it's really promising.

IESB Exclusive: X-Men Origins: Wolverine Update! More Deadpool Added!

Thanks to IESB reader DPfan (I am assuming he didn't think real hard about that handle – it means Deadpool fan right?) we've learned exclusively that more footage of the DEADPOOL character played by Ryan Reynolds has been added to the X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE film!

We are told Ryan Reynolds was busy a guy in Vancouver during the extra time the production spent there shooting some added footage for his Deadpool character! Apparently most of the footage shot included Reynolds and Wolverine himself, Hugh Jackman.

This isn't your mother's cameo...Deadpool is full on! Reynolds will appear in the film even more than originally planned!

Reynolds beefed up a la Blade Trinity for the role of the antihero to play opposite Jackman's Wolverine. The Merc with a Mouth can't have wimpy girlie arms next to that guy!

IESB has contacted 20th Century Fox for confirmation, will update if we hear anything so check back!

Deadpool crash course is below:

Universe: Marvel Universe

Real Name: Wade Wilson

Aliases: Jack, Chiyonosake ("the Wolf of the Rice Wine"), Rhodes, Corpus, Lopez, Hobgoblin, Thom Cruz, Peter Parker, numerous others

Identity: Known to Canadian government officials

Occupation: Mercenary; former enforcer, government operative, sumo wrestler, soldier, others

Citizenship: Canada

Place of Birth: Unrevealed location in Canada

Known Relatives: Unidentified parents, Gretchen (ex-wife)

Group Affiliation: Agency X; formerly Six Pack, One World Church, DP Inc., Weapon X, Heroes for Hire, Secret Defenders, Frightful Four, Team Deadpool, Landau, Luckman & Lake, Department K; former employee of Tolliver, Kingpin, Taskmaster, presumably others

Education: High school dropout

Height: 6'2"

Weight: 210 lbs.

Eyes: Brown

Hair: None, formerly brown

Powers: Deadpool possesses a superhuman healing factor derived from that of the mutant Wolverine that allows him to regenerate damaged or destroyed areas of his cellular structure at a rate far greater than that of an ordinary human. As such, he can regrow severed limbs or vital organs. The speed at which this healing factor works varies in direct proportion to the severity of the damage Deadpool suffers. This healing factor also affords Deadpool a virtual immunity to poisons and most drugs, as well as an enhanced resistance to diseases and an extended life span. Unlike Wolverine’s natural healing factor, Deadpool’s is mentally driven to a partial extent.

Due to the presence of this superhuman healing ability, many of Deadpool's natural physical attributes have been enhanced. Deadpool's musculature generates considerably less fatigue toxins than the muscles of an ordinary human being, granting him superhuman levels of stamina in all physical activities. His natural strength, agility and reflexes have been enhanced to levels that are beyond the natural limits of the human body. Deadpool's agility and reaction time are superior to those of even the finest human athlete.

Abilities: Deadpool is an extraordinary hand-to-hand combatant and is skilled in multiple unarmed combat techniques. He is a master of assassination techniques, is an excellent marksman, and is highly skilled with bladed weapons (frequently carrying two swords strapped to his back). He is fluent in Japanese, German, Spanish, amongst other languages.

Weapons: Deadpool employs any number of weapons depending on his current assignment. Most often he will utilize a combination of guns and blades.

Paraphernalia: Deadpool utilizes a teleportation device located in his belt to whisk him out of (and occasionally into) danger, as well as a holographic image inducer that he can use to disguise his true appearance as necessary.

First Appearance: New Mutants #98 (1990)

First Wolverine TV Spot: Outcasts

user posted image

Fox aired the first of it’s special new, X-Men Origins: Wolverine TV spots during Family Guy tonight. This first one, entitled “Outcasts” focused in particular on Wolverine’s childhood, and did a pretty good job of hinting around at the notion that they’re setting Sabretooth and Wolverine up as brothers. Also, it’s worth noting that a man who appears to be Wolverine’s father, bears a very strange resemblance to Sabertooth, right down to the haircut.

Watch the first of Fox’s three X-Men Origins: Wolverine TV spots below. They’ll air the other two this coming Monday and Tuesday night.

WHOA... kickass sneak peek, and I'm pretty glad they added in the history of [s]Logan[s]James Howlett's childhood. That setting was very similar to the official Wolverine Origins although it was darker and gloomier in the comics.

X-Men Origins: Wolverine TV Spot 2 -”Brothers”

user posted image

20th Century Fox aired the second of three announced 60-second television sports for X-Men Origins: Wolverine. You can watch the first titled “Outcasts” , which aired during Family Guy at this link. The second spot which premiered tonight during House, is titled “Brothers”. The story begins after the first clip, where Wolverine and his kid brother run away from home and find themselves at War. The third spot will air on on Tuesday (February 17th) during American Idol. I have a feeling that the third spot is going to ruin some of the film’s climax… I could be wrong. Watch “X-Men Origins: Wolverine - Brothers” after the jump.

Let's just hope that they don't make Wolverine like he was in the previous movies. The way they potrait Wolverine is that he could HEAL and he's a badass, nothing more like he is a elite-stealth-mixed-martialart-ninja-spy-soldier.

In the previous movies, they tried so hard to remind us that wolverine can heal and nothing more that he can fight efficiently.

I rmb a scene in a forest where he faught the thorn-throwing dude. And i was like WTF?! Wolverine got hit? In the forest? Where he is with his animal instinct????

And about the new movie coming, where's gambit's cool red eyes!!! They gave Riddick his cool glowing eyes. Now give Gambit his!!

20th Century Fox aired the third and final 60-second television spots for X-Men Origins: Wolverine. The third spot which premiered tonight during American Idol is titled “Legends” and set-ups the team of Mutants that Wolverine joins along his journey: Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool, Taylor Kitsch as Gambit and Tim Pocock as a young Cyclops. I think it’s kinda funny that Fox tried to do a spin-off film and has resorted into selling it based on the other X-Men “cameos”. Watch “Legends” after the jump

2 French Wolverine Posters

Fox has released two new French posters for X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Or is it Le Wolverine over there? Croissant Claws maybe? There, I’ve officially exhausted all of my French.

The first one has Wolverine pissed off because god has decided to rain on his picnic. The second one seems to be trying to show us what it looks like when Wolverine shaves. He doesn’t even use a mirror! No wonder Logan always looks so scruffy.

Final Wolverine Trailer and Character Photos Revealed

user posted image

20th Century Fox has released six new character photos and the final movie trailer from X-Men Origins: Wolverine on USA Today. The photos include Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, Liev Schreiber as Victor Creed/Sabretooth, Lynn Collins as Kayla Silverfox, Taylor Kitsch as Gambit, Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool and Will.i.am as Kestrel.

The new trailer concentrates a lot on the story bits shown in the Fox 3-minute preview, with a lot more action from the additional mutants, and nearly every effects shot from the film cut into a fast montage. I think I even saw some footage from the recently filmed reshoots. Check out the trailer after the jump and tell me what you think in the comments!

it js like original but without final touch up yet. thats why can see the raw CGI, rope to make the character hanging n etc.

For some reason I've always thought this is going to be a boring movie (trailer didn't really hype me up) but since a lot of people are saying the workprint is good, I guess I might need to wait and see.

What characters make an appearance here? I know theres this boss called Deathpool or something (never heard of him). And I saw this guy with his eyes shooting stuffs which I think is a young Cyclops. Then theres a not-so-hairy Saibertooth. And its about damn time Gambit appears but I heard we don't get to see much of him. Hopefully we get to see him having a good fight with the cards and stuff.

Didn't even want to finish the workprint coz I find this movie too predictable and cliche.Definitely skipping the cinema or only watch on proper DVD later.Guess have to stick back to comics for a good wolverine story.

Trust me its going to be very different from the one that is going to be shown in the cinema, earlier they had an extensive remake/reshoot, read the previous post, theres an article on it.

if its not focusing on Wolverine, this movie has to be renamed, wouldn't it? since the movie name is X-Men Origins : Wolverine

So far, regular commentators on the web expect it to be below average with about a 35% rating.
Also sentiments about production quality are increasing and becoming more positive.

If you are a fan of good film making you will not like this film...If you are a fan of the X men comics (especially Deadpool) you will not like this film....If you drool over Hugh Jackman and want to be locked in a room with him for 24 hours then you might well enjoy Wolverine....This is a dud of a film...Wolverine could have been a good film but the script was thrown together with no thought to the fans...

this movie makes wolverine looks... stupid. he's been living for more than 100 years, he cant even tell whether someone's is lying to him. obviously, by the time he bump into stryker when he was working as a lumberjack, he's in trouble. if he's too good in smell stuff, why he cant even smell the fake blood on kayla's body?

the scene with blob is cool. BUT the fight scene is not. blob can easily hurt wolverine by punching him eventho wolverine has that adamantium planted in his body, but the time blob got hit by wolverine, his head went weng d..?

what's up with deadpool and the long sword come out from his hand? waaaa means he cant bent his hand when the sword's in la? just make a normal sword using adamantium enough d la, cool also, haih!

this movie fail la, but i had a good time watching it. if u not a big fan, just looking for a good time watching movies with ur buddies/GF/BF, ooookkkk laaaaa. keep in mind that this is not the story about james howlett, but story about weapon X.

what cool in this movie is victor creed. about Ryan Reynolds..., could be a lot better, the action when he was wade is cool but the costume looks too simple, he looks better in blade trinity tongue.gif

another thing i like about this movie is wolverine's hair style in WW, WWii, and namm, waaa since when a soldier can grow up long hair? waaaaaaa!!!!

it was real blood, just not hers

have you even seen wolverine's adamantium claws?
they arent short,you know?
but yet he can twist his wrists just fine.
you can accept that illogical part of logan, yet not wade's?

as for not making it adamantium,he probably wouldnt have survived the procedure-sabertooth wouldnt have

NO

doesnt matter if it is real blood on kayla, he still can detect whether it is her's or not. summore there's no bleeding injury on kayla. PLUS, why wolverine didnt bury her if he was sooooooooooooo in 'love'? laugh.gif

yeahh dats the thing about wolvie.. live so long but always stupid..
ive always wondered dat part about him in comics... he's old but never gotten wise... mebe part of his animal instinct trying to take over his humanity.. the berserker rage keeps him on edge so it takes a lot for him to just stay patient and sane.

anyhow.. i think he knows he cant trust stryker at first glance thus didnt wanna join. when kayla supposedly died, it could be from her own vial of blood. they couldve sucked her blood before and they kept it just for this instance. so it could be her own blood thus wolvie cant tell difference.

and since he was in a rage for revenge, his animal side kicking in, he wasnt able to comprehend he's being manipulated. well.. wolvies not always the smartest kid in the block.

but yahlar... deadpool couldve been perhaps better.. as wade is cool.. but the deadpool with all accumulated powers and getting head chopped off, no good.

the part bout the long hair.. i think its safe to assume he grows his hair real fast too like his healing factor and it sticks to that point. so the army doesnt care lar and will overlook the hair since hes such a ruthless killing machine.

anyhow its quite good. its not epic but its certainly good enough. im just glad it didnt turn out like daredevil, or elektra or incredible hulk. those were phails big time. so to compare with those id say its a success.

i read lots of wolverine comics, and yes i have to agree with u sshahar9, he does get fool quite a lot. go and read enemy of the state, old man's logan (current limited series) and a few others.

about the hair part, if his hair grow up faster, why did it just stop there? why didnt grow kaw2 sampai under his leg? ahehe. as a soldier WITH good morale like james, that is just a small matter, he can just cut it over and over again.

Added on April 30, 2009, 3:46 pmwolverine's claw length suit nicely between his elbow and his hand, if u dont have a life, go measure it. even if it is longer a lil bit, still looks acceptable la.

but deadpool's sword too long d.

The whole concept behind Deadpool was way, WAY off from what the Origin comics were based on.

Original Origins storyline:

Wade never becomes Weapon XI. Weapon XI is based off from Wolverine's son, Daken's DNA in the comics.

I should have known better.

When Liev Schreiber comes out of the trailer and says something like 'Ooo, shiney!' *cheeky grin*, you know you're watching a 2 hour wrestling show because this is what the spot-fest (It's not a film, it's a spot fest) is. It's a piss poor attempt of a story which serves one purpose - to testosterone it up a few notches. It isn't pretty at all. With some of the worst CGI effects in a summer movie since Race to Witch Mountain [Wolverine in the mirror scene] and the lamest reaction scene [Wolverine walking away from a blown up helicopter], I thought it was impossible to do worse than X3 but they did it. They actually managed to do it. notworthy.gif

Whether its source material or not, I cannot judge but with classics like Watchmen, Iron Man and Dark Knight, you thought that they had finally perfected the recipe for superhero movies by making us care for them, Wolverine proves that that isn't the case.

I await reviews from Makakeke and Quickfire.

EDIT: fix some punctuation and paragraphing.

In perspective, I liked Fast and Furious a lot more than I liked this. Jackman while a better actor and more charismatic than Vin Diesel, I cared more for Dom than Logan.

I couldn't agree more.

If X3 was horrible, this movie is even more appalling.

The opening was still acceptable as it followed the official Wolverine:Origins comic, but it went totally downhill from there. Although it still hangs loosely to the Wolverine stories that we know and love, the execution was dreadful. The action scenes were predictable, yet the attempts to be cheeky failed miserably. The final battle was like a computer game - the villain had godmode + clipping mode on, and the CGI was of low quality.

Ironman actually had similar problems - strip away the comedy and fancy special effects, it's just another superhero movie with a mediocre and predictable storyline. But the success of Ironman was that it kept viewers entertained and connected to Tony Stark's character development. Wolverine, on the other hand, did not.

Oh yeah... FnF... haven't watched that yet. Tokyo Drift was actually pretty enjoyable for me but 2F2F was boring with a capital B. Paul Walker only had one expression and that's it.

But I liked X3, much more than the first two. It was loud and dumb, but the action setpieces were majestic. CGI use was some of the best I've seen. I never really cared about the X-Men stories or the characters, so if this has good action, I'm content. biggrin.gif

Looking forward to Star Trek more though. Never watched the series or earlier movies, but the trailer looks good, and I like Abrams

But wouldn't you agree that bigger, louder action sequences come with sequels in a package? I mean, it's only logical that Revenge of the Fallen have bigger sequences than Transformers, no?

I'm jumping straight to Salvation, as long as Bale is in it, I'm salivating.

Both Christian Bale and Hugh Jackman were brilliant in The Prestige, but Wolverine Origins wasted Jackman's talent. Let's just hope that Bale doesn't suffer the fact as Hugh Jackman did.

What I'm saying is that the action in X3 were better than in the first two. Most probably just me though, seeing as how everyone loves the first two. The only character I like in the franchise is Magneto.

Hard to say if Salvation will be good, but its co-written by Jonathan Nolan, so that's something going for it. smile.gif

Yeapp, the movie is decent. Can't say it's too great, can't say it's too bad.
Just came back from the movies here.

Deadpool .. cool character, messed up in the end.
It does tell much about Wolverine's story but just not enough..

I don't know, but those World War scenes, should be more elaborated?

And.. Gambit isn't a playboy type sad.gif

What I'm saying is that the action in X3 were better than in the first two. Most probably just me though, seeing as how everyone loves the first two. The only character I like in the franchise is Magneto.

Hard to say if Salvation will be good, but its co-written by Jonathan Nolan, so that's something going for it. smile.gif

I'm saying that sequels nowadays apply Bay's Law which states that if you blow 1 car up in the first part, the sequel demands you blow 10 cars up which is why they ought to be better no matter which capable director had taken up the movie. It's just unfortunate the direction faltered.

Here's the after post credit scene

QUOTE
*During the credits of X-Men Origins: Wolverine, there is an extra scene that shows Colonel William Stryker walking down a road with his shoes ripped open and his feet bleeding due to how far he has walked. A military unit is shown finding and telling him that he’s wanted for questioning in connection with the death of General Munson. This is in reference to the end of the movie where Kayla tells Stryker to walk until his feet bleed and then keep walking.

*After the credits of X-Men Origins: Wolverine, there is an extra scene that shows Wolverine at a bar in Japan drinking shots of whiskey. After asking for another shot, the Japanese bartender asks him if he is American. Wolverine responds, “Canadian… I think.” She then asks if he’s drinking to forget and he replies, “No. I’m drinking to remember.” This is in reference to the end of the movie where Stryker shoots Wolverine in the head with a adamantium bullet that erases his memory.

Director Gavin Hood has said that they’ve hidden multiple secret endings on different prints and theaters will be showing different versions.

*One of the extra post-credits scenes zooms in on the rubble and on Deadpool’s arm groping out from beneath it. You see his head, and then the hand grasps the head and his eyes pop open. Deadpool’s mouth has broken free and glaring with a knowing sparkle in his eye at the camera, he simply says, “SHHH…” as the camera cuts to black.

Added on May 2, 2009, 12:57 amPost credits scenes
The film has several alternate endings during the credits.[4] One of these scenes shows William Stryker walking down a road. The toes of his shoes are torn and bloody from walking for so long (Silverfox controlled him to walk until his feet bleed, and to keep walking). A military vehicle drives up behind him and he is apprehended by military police for questioning about the death of a general that he murdered in order to protect his personal vendetta.

Depending on which theater the movie was shown in, one of three possible endings appear following the credits. The first depicts Weapon XI's (Deadpool's) hand reaching out from the rubble of the nuclear complex to touch his severed head, whereupon the head comes to life and makes a brief hushing sound at the audience before the scene fades to black. This is a reference to Deadpool's habit of breaking the Fourth Wall in the comics. The second alternate scene shows Weapon XI's hand and head in the rubble as well but a man in a long black overcoat kneels down and picks up the head. As the camera pans around, the man in the overcoat asks "Who the hell are you supposed to be?" The camera pan reveals the man to be none other then the real Wade Wilson. The third alternate scene shows Wolverine drinking at a bar in Japan. The bartender asks if he is drinking to forget. Wolverine replies in Japanese that he's actually drinking to remember

I don't know why the American critics rate this movie so badly. I quite enjoyed it and would rate it 8/10. I thought the action scenes were pretty cool. Then again these critics are the ones who rave about Slumdog Millionaire which I thought was entertaining but not worthy of winning so many Oscars.

Does anyone know if the different cinemas here show different post credit endings? I saw the

Its pretty good storyline after watch it 2 times.. The main point of this movie is point out how Volverine is being introdeuce and also other X men (Gambit, Scott) and also William stryker...

The CGI just little bit but the storyline just focus on Logan only.... The only bad point will be it did not explain where his brother go after end of movie

Still give 8 / 10 (2 points is for not impact for the ending and lack of CGI) rclxms.gif

I wonder what the whole fuss about "this movie sucks" was. I just came back from the watching the movie and I must say, while it isn't the best action flick, it was still X-Men and it was still plenty of fun.

I understand the low ratings - - the story is fine, the actions are OK, but the overall movie is more like a popcorn flick. It was done because it COULD be done. There were a few awesome moments in the movie. I love the part where Wolvie gets all mad. His adamantium claws are freakin awesome. Since watching the first X-Men movie, the word "adamantium" was stuck in my mind. Glad to finally hear the name again.

In the trailer, we see young Storm turning around. But in the movie, its absent. Scott Summers screen time was so limited. At least he was in it. We also get to see... Professor Xavier ! biggrin.gif

About the ending...

There were only 4 ppl in the cinema watching till past credits. The new trend in movies (especially blockbuster flicks) are doing this (after credits scene, not moments after credits start rolling).

Overall from me,

7.0 / 10

Pros - - good action sequences, pretty spectacular moments (Wolverine scenes) and plenty of popcorn to chew.

Cons - - the visual effects could have been more polished (e.g Wolvie in the mirror in the old folk's home looks fake, driving scene) and wish there were more screen time for young mutants

Final verdict
Go watch this movie if you're into X-Men and if you just want to start the summer movies season.

the reason this show get low rating is because the F*** up show up. they mix up this and that, making up this and that, just so the general public dont get confuse.
Thats what happen and make the fans angry.
just like how DBE did to dragonball.

Anyway, i love this show, eventhou they F*** it up.

And why did they mix deadpool and weapon 11 together =( it make it so confusingggggg

I actually LOLed when I saw Xavier. My friend was asking me, 'What's so funny? You don't know that Xavier wasn't always in a wheelchair meh?' doh.gif Obviously my friend don't get the 'joke'. -1 for Xavier's CGIed face.

Anyway, I've watched X-Men when I was a kid (I stopped watching sometime when I'm in secondary school) but I've always liked them. I'm not overly familiar with Wolverine's background but the movie to me, a 20+% familiarity fan, wasn't that bad la. Of course, it have its lame and cheesy moments but still it's way better than X3. Hugh Jackman's really hunky drool.gif

The movie wasn't that bad. I went into the cinema thinking "OK, I hope this isn't going to leave me feeling like 'Eragon' "

Overall, it got a 7/10 from me. That's good (but not great). The story is quite thin and it really just seem to pile on Stryker as the driving force of the entire story.

xaview was CGIed to look younger. so yeah, it's waaaay too weird for me too. i wouldve preferred just him from the back and his voice.

and he is standing, and was is not in the wheel chair in the flashback in x3.

deadpool is one of those morally ambiguous characters in the marvel universe.

Dumb scenes in Wolverine

1. The chopping of the stair case.
-> OMG. When I saw it I just chuckled.

2. The fight with the fatty.
-> OMG. WTH. Totally unnecessary.

3. The fight with Stryker every now and then.
-> Seriously.

4. The killing of so many characters that you just wish had more screen time.
-> Scott Summers is in this movie ! Wow ! Yeah...

5. Wolverine funny scenes.
-> Especially in the barn house. His claws looked uber faked in CG in front of the mirror.

6. The ending
-> It ended with a so-called "super fight scene". Seriously speaking, it wasn't that great. It was OK. Just at the right moment Gambit arrives. Wow.

7. Professor Xavier
-> It looked as if they used a home computer to try to make his face look younger as the first few seconds, it was freakin weird.

Reasons for mediocre reception

1. Plot is quite thin.

2. Screen time of characters too little.

3. Styker is annoying and the whole "I hate you I want to kill you" gets old quickly.

Nice moments

1. Wolverine coming out of the tank. RRrraagh !

2. Helicopter scene. Dude jumps on it. Blades get cut.

deadpool is disfigure because of his cancer interacted with the process that he went through the weapon x program. Also, it made him mentally unstable.

so he is the dark twisted minded funny half good-evil hero that is suppose to wear a suit that covers his whole entire body including the head.

So movie, i give it 4 out of 10

They completely destroyed Deadpool. This is what Deadpool is supposed to be like. Not some mouthless, samurai sword version of wolverine with pew pew laser eyes.

i watch it first on dvd and its the unfinished version, u can still c strings attached to the characters and the computerize images has not being finalized yet. than on sunday i went to cinema and watch again cause my gf wanted to...not really a superb movie, ending pretty predictable, i'll gv 6/10 la...

besides tht, those who purchase 2 TGV tix for wolverine will be entitled to get discount at FCUK to buy the limited edition wolverine tshirt (u hv to buy 2 items, could be one wolverine tshirt n another type in order to get a 15% discount). i also just went KLCC FCUK 2hours ago and see the tshirt design, its not worth it i feel bcz 1 tshirt cost RM129 and the material is so thin and the design also is not something to shout about....better go DC shop and buy, more worth it!!

Somehow I felt this movie was "rushed". It was not baked properly... it could have gone and one a few more months of work.

After reading some stuff on this movie and X-Men, OMG... this movie really missed a lot of stuff. The most obvious was - - - WTH is that how Deadpool looks like ? sweat.gif That's miles different.

gambit was just plain wrong, no red eyes and more importantly, the actor didnt get his character right. thats what happens when he said that he'll do his own rendition of gambit instead of going to source material. that aspect they did right to now show gambit a lot, to fans disappointment before, but in the end its the right call.

still, overall still good for a popcorn action flick. its a superhero movie for goodness sakes, if its too deep like watchmen, complain, if its too simple that even kids can understand and enjoy with explosion (m.bay?) and fighting, also complain.

just chill lar.. im a fan of the comic books but not pissed at all they changed a few things here and there. it still came out good and bearable compared to the 3 i mentioned before. it had the potential to really flop but it didnt. was it the biggest and most epic? no, but the source material already confined them to some aspects to begin with.

anyhow, will look forward to the sequel

yeap, if the process complete then the director have to figure out how else can wolverine kill him.. since a complete adamantium bonding would make chopping head harder, would it?

Somehow, I felt that Gambit was thrown into the movie, solely to please fans around the world. Its similar to how Venom was thrown into the third installment of the [Spider-Man] movie, with such limited on-screen time.

I dont really like this movie.

The CGI feels very fake. The story line is also boring. Some parts feels a bit incomplete.

2/5 for me.

Both scene are there. Just sit around after the credits starts to roll.

My opinion is Gambit, one of the main character in X-Men, gets too little in this movie. It was disappointing not to see him in the X-Men trilogy and now this. Started off pretty cool but got pawned real bad by Wolverine. Made him a worthless X-Men character in minutes. LOL

Somehow i felt that Sabretooth outshone Wolverine in this movie. Can't wait for the sequel!!

yeah gambits role is very stupid. but the cgi him smashing the falling wall is awesome.
and yes sabertooth was played brilliantly by the actor. he's an intelligent actor.

Best movie of 2009 ? Wow. That is a little bit too much praise. It was an OK action flick, and believe me, easily other summer movies are going to beat it. "Star Trek" just did it, wait for "Terminator" and even "Disney PIXAR Up"

I'd say its average at best. The movie's plot is really thin and the character depth is questionable. Besides, there are really mediocre visual effects moments.

Damn Deadpool rocked in this movie,In my opinion he even eclipsed Wolverine.

The elevator scene is damn funny.

Man I cant wait for a Deadpool movie with Ryan Reynold again,if the rumors are true.
It would be funny & badass at the same time.

Hi.

Just watched it.
Great movie.
A lot of twist and turn.
Started to hate Victor but Stryker's the worse.
Almost perfect 'Weapon 11'

Gambit (X-Men: The Animated Series and comics) has always been my favourite.
Glad he's in this movie.
Hope there's 'X-Men Origins: Gambit' tongue.gif

They say that all legendary figures are the creation of great tragedy and perseverance. But what about Santa Claus? Imagine, if you can, Santa Claus as a superhero, out for vengeance. Imagine, if you will, a movie trailer mash-up featuring The Santa Clause and X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Imagine, no more. You can watch the real origin story of Santa Claus, after the jump.
