need help, my cd-rom seems like dosent work.

when i inserted a cd inside, seems like it dosent detect any then the cdrom push the cd out. tried with any cd and its the same.. trying so many times and dont know what to do.

Try to clean your CD-ROM drive, if it still doesn't work change to new one.

how to clean it up? im using macbook... the cd/dvd does not appear on the desktop. after few sec it rejected the cd out

especially those kind of problems.. Go Apple Store la.

I don't be to offense, those thing post in there are useless. Just go apple store and ask them to help you check. Btw, I bet your superdrive or combo drive is KO. Highly chance. Sorry if it is true

Any of the Apple stores should be able to help you; but you probably need to leave ur machine there for a couple of days [that's one of the few reasons Y i haven't actually gotten done to doing mine!]

Anyhow, U could try these outlets (I believe there's technicians on-site there):-
1) Mac City @ Amcorp Mall
2) Machines @ Mid Valley

Strangely this problem happens to my iMac extremely frequently too. Normally for me it get's fixed by simply restarting the Mac, you tried that yet?

my pb had this problem before. it happened in the last month of the warranty period. lucky me. i got the slot drive replaced foc.

funny just now i bought a dvd lens cleaner. try it few times then it can read. then it happen again till now...

went to mid just now.fogot dat today is public holiday so the technician is not there.aihh...

can u try on other CD. Audio CD, software cd, DVD, ...

maybe some of the CD not able to recognize by the way its being prepared.

prob solve. i sold dat one to a frnd who willing to use it and get a new one istead of spending almost 900 to repair it.
