QUOTE(a1098113 @ Mar 23 2008, 11:20 AM) in that question, well, the stepping and batch is the answer. thats why i pointed across the important point that you have to disregard the proc built and stepping in this equation. I was merely answering to your statement that says that actually i am asking about batch la jus take the heatsink as a standard to represent the batch only, and of course,if wan overclock kao kao sure need a aftermarket heasink la,then which of u are using 945gc board and manage to overclock well ?

QUOTE(GRexer @ Mar 25 2008, 10:50 PM) Most of the reason why people find the Intel 945GC chipset "not overclockable" is behind it's not just drop-in can overclock. The BSEL 266MHz FSB mod MUST be done to enable it to overclock better(to at least 333MHz FSB), that's the main "secret recipe" for the budget Intel Dual Core + 945GC chipset overclocks. bro,can teach me how to do tat ? coz i have tested all 945gc mobo with e2160,no one can reach higher than 2 ghz and i wanna get myself a combo of e2160 plus 945gc soon,i plan to get asus brand's 945gc,so hope u can teach me how to do the mod ?coz no money to go for p35

i found tat my e2160 modded cannot get higher than 2.8 at msi p35 neo f mobo, while a original e2160 can go above 3.0 on it,so...after modded will block the potential of overclock ?

my fren got an e2160 which is put on p35,it can overclock to 2.88 daily use, then i wan to see my modded e2160 if put on p35 can overclock more than 2.88 or not,but the result is cannot ,it only manage to archieve 2.6 but in msi 945gc board,my modded e2160 manage to get 2.6ghz no problem,so i think it is not suitable to put a modded e2160 to p35 chipset cannot wait to test my modded e2160 on my asrock wolfdale1333 board i have all hardware (proc+ram+mobo+ gc) in hand now but the casing and psu all in hometown This post has been edited by xk2: Apr 21 2008, 05:04 PM

Here are some information about 'super budget overclock' platform.. the board use in this review is a conroe1333 with DVI,the non DVI version is much more cheaper and i think the performance should be same,i oredi get my ' Wolfdale1333 d667' in Thunder Match at only RM145 ,tis board will pair with my e2160 modded,i not yet have the chance to test the performance due to my other parts is located in my hometown, only can look at the mobo and proc everyday and imagine myself the pricelist state ' Conroe1333 d667', but the stock they selling is actually ' Wolfdale1333 d667'...i think the performance is same
