Last time I read about HTL, it is better to keep it below 1GHz. Above that may cause instability. But then I see most AM2 OCers nowadays OC above 1GHz

auto oc will oc the system up to 1200 HTL, that means nearly 240 bus. no other changes done

that is on stock i assume. i see 200 bus and 1000 HTL

go some more ah, is my mobo calling for BE?

that is 2.3GHz, and for Orleans 3000+ it is pretty good already. last time i use the same proc too, but only get to reach until 2.2GHz. maybe due to limitation of oc features in my old mobo

not much of a change in CPU temp. on idle sometimes it hits 29C but usually around 32-33C. both GeminII fan is using AllnGap's Delta maybe i need to work on exhaust

wish to try to OC it kaw2, but takut burn my psu like mizivincible did

the noise ah, if you're staying in a room with a/c and complete silence, for sure you will hear it but it is an ok noise, not like "ah dem buzzing noise, gotta change fan". with a ceiling fan in a room, i barely hear the sound either. just like mizi said, airflow like vizo windstorm but the noise is much much lower

Currently I only OC until 270fsb with stock vcore. Didn't wish to pump it anyway for the mean time. But I lower the HTL, and if I use X4 HTL for it, will it be stable for 24/7 usage?

Is Biostar TA780G M2+ available yet ? Its onboard HD 3200 kinda interesting but not the 6 Channel HD Audio

I have friends can push higher if running XP, but run with lower GHz if on Vista. Otherwise, BSOD. Can't really tell whether OS does affect higher OCing or not until experience it ourselves

i see. but this friend of mine using Conroe tho. xp 3.8ghz, vista 3.2ghz only

from my exp am2, no diff. i can push to 2.8ghz in vista, same goes to xp

What RAM did you use ?

Change HT multiplier to X4 when it is below 250fsb. I think 533 RAM div is good enough as long didn't reach RAM limit yet

Btw can I just change RAM div from 533 to 400 after OCed my proc, or do I need to start from scratch ? Because last time I tried cannot

That means until 270fsb right ? That is only about 337MHz if using 533 divider. If you use 400 you can go higher is it ?

Do you think I'm able to reach to 3GHz w/o stand alone GC ?
