ya not like amd claim to be..
current am2 mobo also not support phenom.. bios not support etc.. mobo maker too lazy to update.. what's the different?
*
well, they are two different platform mates, am2 & am2+. can u use 45nm on 965p chipset mobo? all 1333fsb chips (non 45nm) can't even used on some older batch of 965p mobo. have u see brisbanes (65nm) were not able to run on any am2 (90nm initially) mobo? yawn.gif

asrock dual sata2 (s939 mobo) can even run a am2 chip (w/ d help of adaptor). whistling.gif

my point here is, u can't deny that intel have been changes their chipset too frequent, makin poor ppl like me thinkin twice if i were to get a mid range / near high end mobo on intel platform. undoubtedly intel is superior to amd at d moment. cool2.gif

to be fair, if amd can't beat intel in performance, they must be cheaper in price. smile.gif

Your Hynix FP-Y5 is really oc-able, makes my KVR looks like shite. What divider you use ?

No la fosz, if join darkside later wallet pun become dark, somemore got hole lagi. Take their e2160 pun cost around the same as F3 3800, but their mobo is killing lorr, rm350 for abit fatal1ty iinm. In the end of day, just be thankful what you have, some people still with their sempron or celeron..

A780G report

QUOTE
AMD RS780 scores 53fps in DOOM 3 while RS690 scored 30.6fps Link
Posted on 01/24/2008 @ 12:47 PM

In our ongoing quest, we tested a X2 5000+ running on both a RS690 and RS780 mainboard.

Doom3 was used to test the integrated performance of the GPU. We set the game to run in 640x480 medium quality. With the 1 yr old RS690 (AMD 690G), it scored 30.6 fps. With the new RS780 chipset, it scored 55.3 fps. That is a 80% improvement or 1.8x faster over the old AMD 690G.

QUOTE
AMD RS780 is 261% faster than AMD 690G in 3Dmark06 Link
Posted on 01/23/2008 @ 10:52 PM

Today, AMD announces the AMD RS780 chipset in China. We have got hold of a unit and doing a review of it. At the mean time, we have discovered amazing benchmark results.

Using an AMD ATHLONX2 5000+, 2GB DDR2-800 Corsair memory. We test run 3Dmark05, 3Dmark06 and FEAR under VISTA Ultimate using the integrated graphics on a 690G board and RS780 board.

Here are the results :

3DMARK05 @690G=1105, @RS780=2495
Vista Experience Index @690G=3.1, @RS780=3.5
FEAR DEMO @690=15FPS, @RS780=29FPS
3DMARK 06 @690G : score=321, SM2:147, HDR/SM3=0, CPU score = 1860
3DMARK 06 @RS780: Score=1162, SM2:380, HDR/SM3=441, CPU score 1869

In terms of 3D graphics performance, AMD RS780 is 2x faster than AMD 690G. In 3Dmark06, the difference is shocking, 1162 vs 321. That is 3.6X difference.
