the volvo s40 year 2001/2002 only cost less than 60k..
try check the star motoring section and see..

bloody cheap for a volvo, but very afraid of it's maintenance XD

First generation of S40 (pre-2004) shares the same chassis with Mitsu Carisma and Proton Waja. So, you can substitute ori Volvo chassis and suspension parts with Proton parts.

I read somewhere last week that pay below RM1500 monthly for Volvo repayment scheme
dunno how much to d/p but below RM2K lor monthly

My favourite S40, V50 and XC90. Previously volvo popular among govt senior officer including headmaster...but its popularity faded coz of higher maintenance.

i just not understand why the secondhand value is so low unlike BMW or Mercedes? same like Audi and other European car.

probably due to limited spareparts from sweden compared to germany.
There are merc, audi/VW, bmw, from germany while volvo alone from sweden. Even Skoda and Saab suffers the same thing
