sorry for trouble anyone here.
i had read through the guide but still no idea how to upgrade to 3.80 M33.
can anyone give me a step by step guide?
and can answer some of my questions please.
1)i am using a 3.71 M33 firmware slim PSP, so should i use Pandora or DCv3? i heard that Pandora can't work well on slim.
2)so Pandora and DCv3 have same function as well?
3)i still need to create nand with other tool?
4)i heard that can't update(some sort of that) with the usb, or it will damage the idstorage or flash0 or flash1. can explain to me what is that?
5)What i have to take care or mention when i upgrading to 3.80 M33? i mean i have to use AC power, can't do it through usb and other as well?
*end*
please don't flame or ban me, because i have no idea how to upgrade to 3.80 M33.
thanks.

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « QUOTE(vorchiel @ Jan 18 2008, 03:13 PM) 1) Pandora and DCv3 are only needed if you want to downgrade to older FWs. You can also use DCv3 to update to 3.80 but it is easier to use normal method 2) Pandora batt is required to make the PSP to read IPLs straight from MS and DCv3 have the software needed to flash the NAND 3) If you already have a NAND dump then you dont have to make a new one 4) Flashing via USB is buggy on 3.71 M33-2 but it has been fixed on 3.71 M33-4 but to be on the safe side, make sure you have a NAND dump for your slim. NAND on the PSP is where the firmware is stored. There are 4 NAND partitions: flash0, flash1, 2, 3, etc2.. flash0 stores the firmware and flash1 stores the setting of the PSP, flash2 for DRM licenses etc2. Somehow on slim, the flash0 is kinda encrypted and if the partition is damaged, you cant recover it fully unless you have a working NAND dump to restore it. thanks for your explaination. 1)so if i wanna upgrade to 3.80 M33, i don't need the Pandora and DCv3? 2)i used to create a NAND before.but is that NAND contain for 4 partitions? or just for flash0? 3)so j have to create DCv3 to prevent my PSP bricked? 4)once i bricked my PSP, i can't swithc on my PSP? or cant go into XMB? 5)how to check my PSP is 3.70 M33 v2 pr v4? it only show 3.70 M33 sorry for the troublesome question again.

Make sure to upgrade to 3.80 M33-1 first and then only upgrade to M33-4 ok, final confirmation. first, i have to download the 3.80 firmware, then download the M33-1 and M33-4. then put the update and M33-1 in PSP/GAME/ since my firmware is 3.71 M33-1, is that possible i use usb to upgrage it to 3.80? update not mean flashing?
