i'm planning to get a PSP but when trying to research about homebrew stuff, I notice that alot of the FAQs are still related to the old 1.5 firmware of the phat psp.

my question is, is there a difference between the way things work then with the way things work now in the PSP slim with 3.90m33 etc?

I'd be really appreciative if someone can point me in the right direction to start and then I can begin my research more systematically.

Hey guys,

I'm very new to the psp scene. Is it safe to upgrade from 3.71m33-4 directly to 3.90m33? I have the files ready (390.pbp and the 3.90m33 file), just need confirmation.

UPDATE: I did the update. No problems whatsoever. 3.90m33-2 now.
