update the latest custom firmware. do i need the official one? isnt the custom one the same only better?

If u r updating from a official firmware to a custom firmware u need a pandora battery 2 do it. Custom firmware is the same as official but its only unlock all the features of the psp such as access the flash0 n stuff and can play download games while official cant.
