I'm planning to invest in a heatsink for my 8800gt . BUT, there are so many out there!! I have taken a look at the bulk section and there is so many to choose from (thermaltake , artic cooling, zalman, etc).

Anyone compiled the list of heatsinks before? or recommendations from forumers plz? smile.gif

(added)
take a look at the red circle, is it melted?

If wanna go cheaper, AC Accelero S1 is your choice.
For better, go for Zalaman Fatal1ty FC-ZV9 smile.gif

I am using the Zalman Fatality FC-ZV9.

It is quieter than the reference cooler even at full speed for the fan.

In addition, the temperature for idle and load is very decent too.

Temp Idle = 43c
Temp Load = 49c-52c
Ambient Temp = 22c

It is quite easy to fit your Geforce 8800gt, remember to keep the reference cooler for warranty purposes.

yaya mine is the first one. The stock cooler is a total crap!

and, Yesterday i opened up my pc and realised that my 88gt top got a bit like meltage at the circuit board there. I don't know whether it melted or it is like that. cry.gif i'll take a pic later to take a look.

Probably i'll consider Zalman Fatal1ty FC-ZV9.. but must wait my pay come out.

added some pics on the first post.. is it melted?

is the AC Accelero 1 and Zalman Fatal1ty FC-ZV9 suitable for 8800 series? I've look around in the web and nothing says it is compatible. hmmm.. hope so i am not wrong.

Anyway the Thermalright HR-03 Plus right, worth it or not?

if i were you, i would go through dozens of reviews before making a selection. which is exactly what I've done.

the ultimate cooling and afford ability is this :

it's been proven to be better than all the stated coolers above and it's more affordable than the rest. which is why I'm so gonna get that for my card. thumbup.gif cool.gif
