The 20 days Moving Average is RM 10.24. The +ve 2SD is RM 10.34. Currently PBB is trading at RM 10.50. It is at the oversold territory. Sell now to lock profit and buy back at a lower price.

I am not a chart expert but I see that the MACD cross is happening today from ChartNexus. Besides the RSI is only at 74%. Looking at the last 2 spikes, the RSI was above 90 before coming down. Any comments?

You see what it mean but in actual fact many time it fail to react what it suppose to be.
Many chartist talk based on history, of course history can talk left right up down, that is becoz is history.
Talk until cow come home also they have reason to tell and is always correct, so chart never fail. BUT.
Practise on current realtime, no one can 100% sure it will come. SO the word often used by them is high probability, maybe,
quite sure, high chance, signals quite there but not there. No one can give absolute answer. This is chartist like it or not.

So, I don't really follow what chart say. Just keep till the cow come home and milk me with dividend and share dividend. smile.gif

There are many roads up Mt Fuji as the saying goes. There are many ways to make money from Equities.

Defensive play such as you advocate is just one of many methods.

I am also not a pure technical person. I use Fundamentals Analysis to select strong counters, and uses Technical Analysis to determine the best entry and exit points.

Chartist is not 100% because they are predicting the future and no mortals can do that. However by looking at past trend, extrapolate it with statistical help they can see a pattern and make the best guess from there.

Xuzen

P/S I have so far been using Fundamental Analysis for my investing. It is just recently I am experimenting with Technical Analysis. I believe the best is to use both.

In my opinion I don't judge PBB by technical analysis. After all PBB is not a goreng stock. People buy it because of its fundamental. If I sell it today to cash out the profit, then the buy back price would be below RM9 else it would not make sense. If we take into consideration about the coming dividend.

can we put it this way,
technical analysis is for short and mid term trading.
once the buying signal come, we enter and once show the reversal signal we lock the profit exit.
fundamental is for long term holding & didviden

c what kind of trading u prefer!!
