What particles on the disc pulak? You mean dust? So far never experienced such a situation before but blu-ray movies can skip easily if got finger prints on the surface.

Mpyw, wah punya Underworld blu-ray on DHL plane ke or UPS? Since Underworld got no (.)(.) scenes, I don't think it will get stucked at the customs.

Anyway, I already collected the blu-ray movies you sent to me from the Poslambat office today. The postman said too many parcels to deliver wor so couldn't deliver them to me on Saturday.

You Black Hawk Down cover got the sticky sticky stuff left behind. What happened? Sticker melted? hmm.gif My sister used 'minyak angin' to rub off the sticky sticky stuff from the cover and it's good as new.

Haven't watched any of the movies yet, just passed the MI Trilogy to my colleague since he waited until his neck also long already.

If you got any more blu-ray movies you want me to adopt them, please kindly PM me first ya. laugh.gif

Cannot too much lah, if you ask aiman04 to sell them at ahem dvd price, if I'm in his shoes, I throw them in the sea also dun wanna sell here. Region 1 titles were not cheap at all last time, must be fair to him and anyway, not many are into blu-ray to be honest. It will probably take 4-5 years down the road for every home to have a blu-ray player. Currently, the hardwares and softwares are still out of reach within most people.

Boss also ponteng from own company  rclxms.gif . I was watching right behind your seat... jk  biggrin.gif

Violent is good  thumbup.gif  Bodies being blown apart, very well done, so realistic. Watch with kick-ass sound system  in Cinema ,  double shock. Can feel every explosion especially the one in the forest, awesome!

However I have a feeling some people might hate it for the lack of story and the violence, espc the girls.

I have to take my hats off to the old man. Didn't expect much from him, since he is considered too old already. But I was surprised he still has what it takes, and furthermore he directed this movie, really respect.

But I guess he has lost much of his fans in good old USA. Only took in less than $20M first week, considered low for US standards.

Wonder if they will rush out in Blu-ray if Cinema takings are not up to expectations.

btw, even with one leg, how come Toshiba, HD-DVD,  still standing  shocking.gif
*
I hope the latest John Rambo is not as boring as Rocky Balboa.

Well, HD-DVD still has Universal and Paramount, which accounts 30% of the movies in the HD market. wink.gif

Isn't Stallone a bit too old to be Rambo again. After his so so performance in Rocky, I nearly fainted but if the new Rambo movie is as good as what Bruce Willis could do in Die Hard 4, then I'll be the first to watch it.

But I didn't see Speedy selling Die Hard 3 BD. My friend asked the sales assistant, she pun tak tau. Hahaha. doh.gif

But that day, a Mat Salleh bought The Simpsons Movie BD from there. Seems like some people find that RM149 still cheap for a BD.

You won't regret getting the remote even though it's a little pricey. Sony should have bundled it free with their PS3 to make it a more complete blu-ray player.

Right now, I'm praying hard that the next firmware update can allow the PS3 to decode DTS-HD tracks internally and output it via PCM. Hopefully, it is possible.

QUOTE(aiman04 @ Feb 12 2008, 01:02 PM)
OK. Now I'm relieved.

It is possible to allow the PS3 to decode DTS-HD MA internally, just by a firmware update. Only question is when, I also want it so bad.

Firmware update can't fix the high-bitrate bitstream incapability though, that's hardware. But if PS3 can decode internally, that wouldn't be a problem.
I'm using RX-V1800, love it. Together with the PS3, they are my proudest purchase ever. My speakers have never sounded better.

I recommend it as it is future proof.
*
Precisely, as long as PS3 can decode DTS-HD MA internally and output it as PCM, it's fine with me but I will be happy if it could output lossless audio via bitstream too but guess I'm asking too much oredi. Hahaha.

Anyway, I'll be getting Yammy RX-V1800 pretty soon (probably end of this month). I wanted to buy Denon AVR-2808 initially but the price is a little steep so I've changed my mind.

QUOTE(bose00 @ Feb 12 2008, 02:18 PM)
2600 is quoted frm A&L Audio. 2800 quoted frm Desa HT for V861. V1800 .. Desa HT quoted 4200 and Harvey Norman quoted 4300.

i am still scouting for the Onkyo SR605 b4 i make my decision. can PM me if you know to find one ? i heard there s a shoppe in SS2 specialize in Onkyo products ?
*
The RX-V1800 is around RM3,750 and it might be cheaper in KL. That's the price I've got in Penang but I'm still comparing prices to see if I can get it slightly cheaper here.
