QUOTE(Seas @ Jan 26 2008, 02:25 AM)
i bought my PS3 from Gamers Hideout 1month back and till now I dont really have the time to play with it and explore more information on this PS3. Then I come across the BD during my trip to Dubai and it was quite cheap, bought it around RM 100, so I just grab it without looking at the Region.

So anyway i can dispose this BD ?

Does that mean that it goes the same with the Games for PS3 ? Luckily i didnt buy any PS3 game from Dubai.

You can try selling it off to people with UK or Aussie PS3 which is under the Region B BD. Games on the other hand are region free so you can buy it from anywhere in the world. The only think you have to worry about is language because some of them are not in english.

I actually prefer DHL than FedEx.

Anybody got Cast Away? I read reviews everywhere giving 4-5 stars for PQ, but I find it so-so only compared to other BDs I have.

I love that movie, when watched it last week, I imagined my BDs on that plane! laugh.gif

@POP, money in!

Elton John is the Wife or Hubby , lol  biggrin.gif . I got the DVD from Tower Records (only RM35/-), two discs. His wife/hubby was there alright, even got a song dedicated to him/her. But I prefer the older 'One night only' concert, all hit songs only.

Another Huge Win for Blu-ray

The latest Home Media Magazine has been released with the latest Nielson VideoScan data, and for the week ending January 20th, Blu-ray disc sales accounted for 83% of the high definition market. During this time, there were no Buy-One-Get-One-Free sales, showing the complete dominance that Blu-ray holds in the high definition market even without purchasing incentives.

While some analysts concluded that Blu-ray's hold on the high definition market was only a temporary spike due to the Warner announcement, it appears that the trend will continue as more and more consumers discover the benefits of Blu-ray.

mpyw, I pity your BDs... It's clear that you're too busy now to have a serious relationship...

If you truly love them, let them go... That's true love... brows.gif tongue.gif

Do you check using the Amazon link or using the dhl website? From my experience sometimes using the Amazon link they dont update the status but if use the dhl website can see that it has arrived in HK.

to the guy with the broken arrow region B

from avs

Hello

Thought i'd register, to tell you lot about this

I got a region A (American) copy of Shoot 'Em Up which is region locked(which i did'nt know about at the time).

After i put it into my UK PS3 and clicked onto the filmes icon (BDMV), the machine thought about it and a message came up in big letters saying REGION INCOMBATIBILITY.Then it goes back to the PS3 menues

Tried it a few times and it done the same over and over again.

So on the last try when the "region incombatibility" message came up i pressed the triangle on the controller, which brings up the pop-up menu and clicked on "TOP MENU" then BINGO the films menu came on .

Everything on the film works OK and the film plays all the way through .

I dont know if this would work on other titles ?.But it works on this one

EDIT

Other reported region A(region locked) titles that also work are...............

Which are all from New Line

Hairspray
Mr woodcock
Rush Hour 3
