QUOTE(je5sie @ Mar 9 2008, 10:32 PM) Dear all rabbit lovers, I just wondering when you hold your rabbit will you feel bony? Cause in this picture it look really skinny... Look at my rabbit, this is he after getting groomed from Pet's Family at Tmn Megah. ![]() This time he is groomed by another girl, she's very very patience with this naughty and active rabbit. Two thumbs up for her and Pet's Family! Previously I mentioned they were not gentle with rabbits, but now there's another girl (short hair) which has much better patience. I will definitely bring Piggy back there next month and look for that girl. |

QUOTE(nicoty_yne @ Mar 11 2008, 12:46 PM) Intoducing my kits.. Relax la.... I think you are the one who is stressful, your rabbit worry for you.... Micky the girl and Mocha the boy... Added on March 11, 2008, 12:47 pmI"m so wori la... Micky is a bit slow and quiet this morning. When i took them out to clean the cage and put them in the playpen, she just ran to one corner and lying there. Differents from Mocha. Mocha seemed enjoy exploring the space. But yesterday, bith of them looked ok and active.. Is she in stress? Or is she sick? I checked the whole body, Cudnt find anything weird, except her stomach felt like she was bloated (when i compared it to Mocha). I called the vet aredi. The vet said, rabbit can also get bloated like other animals.. Will bring them for check up today, after work. Just wanna let the vet see them. Hope she's fine.. Will let u guys know her progress.. First, what feed you using? As long as their are eating, jumping and SITTING, NOT LAYING DOWN NOT MOVING, their are fine. Feed wrong fresh green will cause bloating. Do more reading on google, and others rabbit forum, you will learn more. |

Added on March 12, 2008, 12:19 pm QUOTE(teongpeng @ Mar 12 2008, 10:27 AM) You can feed them either pellet or hay(obviously), but if they are below 6 months avoid giving them vegetables or fruits. Those are to be given when they are older and their tummy is more resistance. The first page of this thread describes the diet well. Of cause there is BIG difference! I'm currently feeding my 6 month old bunny timothy hay i got from Midvalley's PetWonderland in KL. a bit pricey though but cant seem to find anywhere in Penang that sells fresh green hay. another rabbit i got (3 months old), i feed some cheap alfafa i bought from the local store (TOBY). Both rabbits get their pellets once a day. Not really sure the difference between good and bad pellet so i just buy whichever one i like when going shopping. What about you...what do YOU feed your bunny? I believe you had read about using timothy base pellet and alfalfa base pellet, go for your rabbit's health condition. Alfalfa base pellet is definately smell more delicious to the rabbit then timothy. This post has been edited by Chinchillas: Mar 12 2008, 12:21 PM |

QUOTE(nicoty_yne @ Mar 12 2008, 01:12 PM) What is the best bedding for rabbit? If that is pine shaving with normal process may cause SOME animals have some respiratory due to the aroma/oil aroma release from the pine. You got many choise over the market, using newspaper is a cheapest way to do, and is very dirty once it wet. U also can use recycle newspaper bedding like care fresh. With grill as base/ wire mess as base, you rabbit need a flat place to stand/rest the feet, stand on wire mess in long run your rabbit feed will hv problem. Give a flat marble or wood for your rabbit to stand. I never use the wood shaving. I read somewhere that the woodshaving is harmful for the rabbits respiratory.. I only use the newspaper layer on the plastic-base littertray with grill on top and change it every day n nite.. Continue your reading related to the rabbit, it is a good thing to do for you and your rabbit AS A PET. Added on March 12, 2008, 6:47 pm QUOTE(mypetisabunny @ Mar 12 2008, 06:24 PM) ah.... so cute! QUOTE(inexsis @ Mar 12 2008, 05:09 PM) juz buy rabbit mat for them is enough...no need bedding..... Thanks inexsis.i feed my rabbit alfalfa king hay.....but u allergic to it.... try Chincillas hay... mayb u r not allergic to it......rabbit MUST HAVE hay in their diet........ when u're looking for pellet, try to find pellet with high amount of fiber in them....that's good for ur rabbit.... i suggest...sunseed pellet....if u got money.....order online for OXBOW or American Diet pellet from singapore or other countries that have them~~~~~that's the best pellet for ur rabbit..... Well, I read that some people will have hay 'fever', and allegic from western country, but on our local people here, if you feel you allegic to hay, it maybe 3 reason. 1. You allergic to the aroma release from the timothy hay. 2. The hay have dust(some very fine broken pieces which under every hay bag will have. 3. Use other hay to replace for you rabbit. You can go for Orchard Grass as your rabbit's daily hay diet. I must agreed with inexsis, HAY IS A MUST DIET for rabbit, not only for rabbit buy for all small animal. Some miroc-nutrient which does not contain in the pellet can only be found in hay. Hay release stress to the animals, hay provide fast energy to the animal as they 'thought ready' to hunt more solid food the wild and many others good reason that your rabbit eat HAY! I did know some people JUST DOES NOT BOTHER and BELIEVE rabbit or other small animal need hay. |

QUOTE(nicoty_yne @ Mar 13 2008, 12:56 PM) Kool BUnny? Same with wchui, if i'm not mistaken... Alfafa, Chincillas also have, 2kg for RM65, Alfafa King brand.. Ask him.. Yes, Orchard grass is another good choise as A DAILY HAY DIET for your rabbit, is low in protein and calcium as timothy hay(You can look for kaytee brand orchard grass). For the alfalfa King brand, I not longer selling, the alfalfa hay from Alfalfa King I have is my balance stock to use for my own and is almost finish as well.Chincillas, u mentioned about Orchard Hay.. Is taht for rabbit? I tot for GP only.. U supply the Orchard Hay as well? Remember u suggested me to try Kaytee brand? I made a research and found this article.. http://www.carrotcafe.com/f/brands.html Please read, everyone.. Anyone know how to find Oxbow? I dunno how to shopping online? Anyone tried before? Anyone use Woodypet for the tittertray? Answer me pls...! Kaytee is one of the best brand you can get locally. Just remember EVERYTHING must be simple/plain diet. Plain pellet without those colourful stuff, PLAIN DIET- hay + pellet + small amount of fresh if you choose to feed. You can't buy online for any oxbow Product even from direct from the state. Kool Bunny is a brand, mainly selling hay as well, they hay is first cutting. The price also reasonable just be very careful on which shop you buy from, cause some shop stock doesnt flow, so it stay too long on the shelf it become useless hay, some shops stock is flowing, so you will see the stock is green and fresh. Added on March 13, 2008, 1:51 pm QUOTE(bebee @ Mar 13 2008, 01:07 PM) For Oxbow Beh will bring in hay only, no pellet yet. This post has been edited by Chinchillas: Mar 13 2008, 01:57 PM |
