QUOTE(kb2005 @ Apr 23 2009, 09:31 PM) If you sell within 3 days. You do not need to pay for the 5000. Yey, thanks for the info. It helps a lot. Sometimes using an 'extra' fund from the limit given because didn't know the exact balance account .... the system take 1-2 days to update the account sometimes .. Hello there, I've a question again regarding the contra . If I bought a shares on Monday .. Cases : 1) Bought 0.200 Sell 0.205 2) Bought 0.200 Sell 0.205 3) Bought 0.195 Sell 0.210 4) Bought 0.225 Sell 0.225 If I bought and sold the same shares in the same day, will they charge me brokerage rate for each transaction? EG: Fixed total brokerage to make it easy (RM23 for bought and RM 25 for sale) - RM 45 for each buy and sell. Following the cases above, will they charge me brokerage rate for RM45x4 times? Thank you

QUOTE(salvationme @ Apr 30 2009, 08:01 PM) which bank have more contra day ? like pbbank online T+3 maybank T+10 Is it true Maybank can extend until 10 days? Added on May 1, 2009, 5:37 pmHi there, I need help to calculate the loss of playing contra : Brokerage rate = 0.42% and Clearing fee = 0.003%I have a question regarding the calculation, by : T1 - Monday (1/1/09) BUY 15200 shares - 0.275 BUY 21000 shares - 0.280 Total HOLD = 36200 shares T2 - Tuesday (2/1/09)BUY 12700 shares - 0.245 BUY 15000 shares - 0.250 Total HOLD = 27700 sharesT3 - Wednesday (3/1/09)SELL 26500 shares - 0.245 SELL 2400 shares - 0.250 Total SELL = 28900 shares (I thought I should do contra loss below of RM 200 for disposing the second day bought? ) Total HOLD = 35000 sharesT4 and so on - still hold 35000 shares My question is why do my contra loss is RM 555.08 ? Maybe I'm a little stupid regarding the calculation and the T1-T3 date, but I'm really appreciate if someone can explain it a little bit for me. QUOTE(lklatmy @ May 1 2009, 08:14 PM) All brokers practise first in first out (unless you make special request). So,your sales on T3 will be offset against your purchases on T1.The detailed calculation I leave it to you . Owh .. look like I've taken a wrong step and wrong calculation. Anyway, how to request the special instruction? Before sell or after the day I sell? Thanks

QUOTE(lklatmy @ Jun 3 2009, 12:18 AM) Please let me add on to this. Most brokers will use FIFO,so in the absence of any instruction from you,the 90 lots bought on the first day together with 10 lots from the second day will be contra off against the selling. However, you can actually request the Remisier to submit a form to the broker instructing them to treat the buying and selling of 100 lots on the second day as an intra day trade. The process is NOT automatic, you have to make a request. It's what I request to the dealer via phone .. but she said no need to call, it's automatic an intra, so I'll wait tomorrow what the result on the ITrade platform, if opposite thanks to cherroy and lklatmy for the info Added on June 3, 2009, 8:08 amUpdate : It's an intra for CIMB ... thanks This post has been edited by Irzani: Jun 3 2009, 08:08 AM

Let's say I'm a bit boring and want to play with the numbers, if suddenly I intent to buy stock A for 20 shares and I enter buy on the system 1 for each 5 seconds for 20 times, is there any problem with that? Maybe they charged more? Just wonder around .. Thank you

Yesterday, I visited some of the invesment bank to find an appropriate funds for long term invesments. When I read through the propectus or brochures, some of those local funds are invest in our local market shares like Sime Darby, TM, or whatever.
Usually. if there's some acquired/disposes, we can see the person/company who is responsible . But, I never once saw the Public Mutual, CIMB funds or whatever in the list of cessation/acquaried/changes. How to check ya or I miss the info everytime?
Thanks

QUOTE(htt @ Jun 26 2009, 09:44 AM) They only obliged to do so if they have significant interest (>5% normally, or insider...). They normally won't hold >5% in one company (with exception for PNB). So, due to not an intention of being one of the major shared holders, with a huge capital and based on equity trade sell profit/dividends, should they considered as one of the 'sharks'?

QUOTE(gark @ Jul 21 2011, 09:44 AM) It means the rights to the RCLS and if you want to subscribe and pay the 2.20 for each RCLS loan socks, which will come with a free warrant. You will be issued the rights for every 3 shares you hold. Example you hold 3,000 shares. You will be issued 1,000 OR. If you pay 1,000 x 2.20 = 2,200, then you will get 1,000 RCLS and 1,000 WA. If you do not want to subscribe the RCLS then you have 1 week to sell the OR or it will lapse. In English, it's a good thing or not? Thank you
