QUOTE(avenger @ May 27 2009, 03:32 AM) anyone here got an idea? The FSP 300w supplementary PSU is useless, very low amps. You're better off buying a proper big PSU. 750-800W should be enough for 8800GT SLI. I'm using a Silverstone Olympia 1000W for my 8800GT SLI rig but u can check with Nvidia SLIzone site for recommended PSUs with minimum requirements. Mine is overkill for 8800GT SLI but then I always go overboard with my stuff anyways.

QUOTE(miriel10 @ May 27 2009, 12:27 PM) Hello to all. I recently bought a GTS250 card and thinking about SLi-ing it (if there's such a word ). I was wondering whether my current PSU which is a Strider 560W is capable of handling it or should I upgrade my PSU? If so, what type of PSU would you guys recommend? Thanx in advance. Go to Nvidia's site called SLIzone. They have a PSU recommendations thingy there. U can see exactly what PSUs have been certified for SLI usage by Nvidia according to which cards ur using.

QUOTE(PootieTang_85 @ Jul 4 2009, 02:24 PM) seems that sli need more room for improvement..i hope nvidia can fix this.. It's already very good. Especially now that it does multiple screens set up which ppl have been asking for such a long time. Anyway, the guy's expectation of 100% improvement is unrealistic. 2 way sli scales about 50%. For 100% improvement u need 3 way sli.

QUOTE(PootieTang_85 @ Jul 4 2009, 03:35 PM) really, nvidia need no fixin, it's the game itself which need. the software developer need to look in this matter..sli is not for all games though Most of the big titles run SLI. The smaller titles that don't utilize SLI are mostly not very intensive n run fine on 1 card anyway.

QUOTE(igor87 @ Jul 24 2009, 06:53 PM) Idle at 80, load 100. That's about the same as my foiled 3 way 4890 CFX project. Is it stable for continuous use at those temperatures? My current (2 way CFX) idle 65-70 and load 80-90 also I think it's too hot already. Changing casing soon. Yes stable. I use it for about 8 hours at those temps everyday.

QUOTE(Mavrix @ Aug 16 2009, 05:48 PM) So need to get at least 850w psu?? If single GTX285 no prob is it?? U better buy a 1000W PSU straight. Dont waste time buying small PSU if u intend to play high end SLI. Requirements will only keep increasing with the quad cores n bigger+more monstrous gfx cards coming.
