ya i agree, the problem we are facing is, we are just student, we are not like other cyber cafe that organize competition, we would like to make our prizes attractive, by getting them thru fees only.

for dota, our prize is more attractive is because as anyone here know, it is the recent most happening game around. that y we focus more on it.
anyway thru calculation u can notice that we are stil short of PARTICIPANS

EDITED: I'm actually wondering if CS and FIFA can finish playing in just 1 day? How many computers are used? If the tourney ended late at night, many people will have to resort to taxi to get home and that's the least people will want to spend their money on.

I would like to ask about the rules for FIFA08. It sounds general if you just said use wcg rules. Because the WCG rules is made for FIFA07 only. The WCG rules for FIFA08 is not going to be out until sometime around Aug08. I would suggest to use the SEC 2008 FIFA08 rules for this tournament since it is the latest rule available for FIFA08.

Or another solution is that you all can set your own rules for this tournament. Based on my experience on FIFA tournament so far, using back the WCG 2007 FIFA rules is not a good choice as there are new features in FIFA08 that is not available in FIFA07.

This is just my opinion anyway. The tournament is yours and it's up to you to decide what sort of rules to use. I'm just giving this opinion for the best of all FIFA gamers so that there will be no argument among players during the tournament day.

coz gaming competition is only part of our e-week event =)

i understand on your situation, i'll try to check out wat the diff between 07 and 08, and provide the latest rules.

Totally agreed with highwind, FIFA08 cannot use FIFA07 old rules. It's best to use the SEC 08 rules as it's the only international FIFA08 rules.

I'm speaking from my experiences as a competitive FIFA player, i hope the rules for FIFA will be finalized and made clear for the participants before starting to avoid any problems later on. Also experienced FIFA marshals should be used or if there aren't any, you will have to ask the FIFA marshals to start learning on what are the rules for FIFA08. Just a suggestion from me, if you have no idea or have very limited knowledge on organizing FIFA tourney, such as what are the Dos & Don'ts, which patches to install (currently 3 patches to update the FIFA08), what useful applications can be used (padpatcher), and etc. you can and should get help and advices from us, particularly highwind or youqi who are also MMU students or any of the experienced FIFA players. This is just to ensure the FIFA event will go smoothly and without any arguments or disagreements.
