After reading up the post, memories of catching fighting spiders during my primary school days caught my mind.
Let me introduce myself first, my name is Alex and im staying in Singapore. My school was a very old school and behind the school there was a "forest" which we called it. The place was full of mosquito, when i was in primary school many of my classmate and some school senior loves fighting spiders and whenever the school ends we would go to the back of the "forest" to catch spiders. But finding a male fighting spiders isnt an easy job, we tend to always find a female one. We spend like 6 hours feeding mosquito and gain nothing after the hunt :'( sometimes we do catch great and ferocious spiders. I do remember i had one fighting spider with totally black HEAD which we all normally called it "Hei Bao" but normally it is always in small size, but this spider is like even he knows that he wouldnt won the fight it will still fight till the end and somehow till it died which had the "never give up" spirits. And one we called it "Cop Bao" which its grap hold of the opponent bites it till it died and sometimes jumping on its opponent as the first move ! Few months back i went to the "forest" of my primary school the place was like lesser and lesser plants there and when i tried to search for some spiders, there isnt any more ! Sigh.......

yeah, large FS do have many fighting experiences. But first of all I would like know how to breed FS ! If i would to hunt FS it would be very tedious ! When i went to hunt FS last time I bring Sissor, transparent plastic bags, some container and one can of insect repellent. Before entering the "forest" i mention i spary my legs,hands and spary some on my plam and rub it over my face to prevent mosquitos. Then i would start to look out for sticked leaves, i would use a stick to check whether is it sticked and check if there are any FS in it because im afraid if i would check with my hands maybe there might be a hantu spider that would probably bite me ! , if there is really a male FS in it, I would start to use a plastic bag to cover both the sticked leaves and use the sissor to cut off the leaves, therefore the FS could not escape. When huge FS fight, they usually doesnt let his opponent off easily they would either kill it or eat it. Sigh... its not easy to find FS in Singapore anymore but i believe they still exist in some places. Nowadays youngsters only stay at home playing computer games, how would they know what FS are ? If mindforce breeding FS can success i would really start hunting for FS, as for today i went back to my primary school "forest" to hunt for some, to my surprise i cannot find any ! the forest is no more intense as i seen it last time and part of the land is use for commecial use. I travel all the way back to my primary sch because i saw this forum ! in chinese called "xin xue lai chao" so i travel back there immedialty to hunt but in the end no sign of them. Only saw a mango tree full of mangoes.. haha !

yeah thats fighting spider !! XD which saturday are you free ? wanna go spider hunt together ? HAHA !!

I went to the place where ass recommanded to hunt, so far hunted 5 FS, 3 female ,2male therefore i released the 3 female back and bring back the 2 male. One was larger then the other, but when let them fight the larger one without Engaging run away already ! hahaha seems that the breed there not fierce enough ~ I got a canon ixus but when i take picture of the spider it seems to be very blur ! anyone enlighten me please !!

ya this morning i went there to catch, caught two male home. Those FS caught there cannot really fight well de... lol !

so adrian you coming to SG for the spidey competition ?

aww sad !! btw today the two guys i caught ah.. dont really fight, they only flare at each other then run away liao haha !

haha, not really capital la.. these guys there wanted to bring back those spider catching memories so they organise that event. If you catch fs alone, nobody to fight with, sure bored right ?? so need to find kaki .. HEHE !

they meeting at friday at 1pm, i cannot i got lessons still 5pm sad la ! but nvm on saturday can see fierce ones fighting is a great joy for me im much content already ! XD it doesnt really means you must have the best fighting spider to have fun, seeing those exciting fightings would really bring back memories...

lol... xD hope fighting spider would become a trend now..

adrian help !! my egg batch just gave birth ! any idea where to get food for them ? =p

Do you know when was it laid? or did you get it from the wild, when was that?
On wat leaf was the egg batch on? Is the leaf already dried?
What container did you kept it in? Was it kept in a dark area or bright?
Did you keep the female together with the eggs until it hatch?
How many babies were there?


I got the egg batch from wild.. 3 weeks ago. its a dried leaf.
A round transparent container.. it was place on a table.. and i dont frequently on the lights cause its near window.
female was place together with egg till it hatch... around 12 babies was found.

i decided to let go all of them.. cause i got no time to take care of them..
