Okay, so I'm planning to really geek it out this time. All the way. I'm kind of a pseudo cultist. I love OS X but am fully aware of its flaws, and point them out all the time. I stick with Apple because I prefer it over the other option. But anyway.

I'm sure a lot of us here will stay up for the keynote, refreshing the Engadget page every few seconds and having the AJAX powered MacRumors site opened in another tab.

I think it'll be so fun if people who share the same excitement and enthusiasm for the event meet and geek out with liked minded people, instead of being behind a screen alone typing in IRC channels or MSN, curbing your "YES!!!!!!!!!!!!" to digital pixels on the screen.

I'm proposing a meetup for this year's keynote. It'd be like there's a major football match on. But we'll be watching a black turtleneck instead of jerseys.

So, anyone in!? biggrin.gif.

I'm hoping to gather enough opt-in responses first before even planning on the location and other specifics... is there even people interested for this kind of thing? tongue.gif

Me & some buddy has been doing since (cant remember how long)...
There's few time we even went out in starbuck and watch the live stream. Yeah, back then there was live broadcast. Since they stop doing that, we revert to chatroom.

As usual, for live updates, check engadgets, macrumour & arstechica.

Good to see there's some sort of interest!

Is there a 24hr starbucks? Hahah there won't be a need to worry about shortage of caffeine if so.

What wei said... what usually happens is at around 1am when the keynote starts, the only sort of live thing we'll get is text updates and photos. I think the previous WWDC there was a guy streaming live audio via ustream.tv (quality was bad, at best you could hear some words... and a whole lot of laughing and clapping). The video of the keynote is posted a few hours later, a "delayed telecast" if you will.

smashpOp, you sponsor projector or external plasma HDTV? drool.gif

lokgotz, finish the assignment now lah tongue.gif

wei, so want to go out again? biggrin.gif
