Downloadingg..... Since I'll be away on Monday to CJ for the rest of the week I can only taste Besi Gear Atas Garisan on saturday next week. This will be just to prepare for next week.

Ah, that would be Cyber Jaya. On another side note, that little statement about Kojima not satisfied with MGS4 was just wow. You rarely see a game developer who dares to give a negative feedback on his own game nowadays BEFORE RELEASE! Only someone like him can get away with saying something like that and still have the game to be a success. It's good in a way that he gave that statement. One, it lowers people's expectation for the game but makes it easier for the audience to get amazed by it. Two, he can justify a reason to make another game. Three, If the game does suck (highly unlikely) then he has a reason to explain. Four, he gains respect for coming forth as honest.

UPDATE: Ok umm... just realized something. Do I need beta keys if I already have a konami ID?

well I finally finished the download (you know, the one I started downloading since morning? )and I was greeted with this message when I tried using it.

Ideas? Hmmm I do know that the patch for MGO is a freaking 700 MB, maybe u have less than that or nearly that size left in ur hard disk.

I had problems downloading the demo itself.


Yeah I realized last night when reading the FAQ but I just decided to make a UK PSN ID and downloaded from there. I didnt have enough cables to transfer over using the F@H method. Huhu. Oh well. Now the download just finished and downloading the update at about 4-5 kb/s. Typical rate for my BT. =/ What I do notice about BT though is that the larger your file gets the faster it can download, up to your broadband cap, which is about 50-60 KB/s.

Here's hoping that the download AND beta starts before I leave for CJ tomorrow so I can take a short peek of the gameplay. fat hope lol!

I found something while looking for a way to speed up P2P. Lets you test if ur speed is throttled. I got a negative on the simple test. So yeah it seems just that our broadband sucks, not that they are throttling us.

white_neck, interesting facts. even the full test showed negative. Is sunday late evening in the peak hour?

I posted a guide on how to get a KID fast. use the search function for this thread. KID, not kid. getting a kid involves a girl, and preferably marriage, also very messy and complicated, but let's not get into that now. It's a few pages back. I got mine in less than half an hour.

crap I registered under australia for my KID. I REALLY hope it lets me through . Now the konami website is really overloaded now since it's so close to the beta release! I cant even load the id.konami.net page anymore!

I had the same problem when I selected "no" to limit download. make sure u select yes. Then give it about 2-3 minutes after pressing start. It takes time to find seeders and leechers.

oh thank god, I can only play for so much on weekends only! 5th of may is my assignment submission date so an extension is a godsend.

it's a beta guys, it's not unheard of that we have to expect screw up like this. If they must screw up to deliver a good online experience, then I'd rather have them screw up now rather when the real thing launches.

LAN or wireless wouldn't matter if ur signal strength is good. At 80 - 100 percent signal strength ur throughput should be able to support a rate far faster than our broadband can ever reach (at least for ur typical 1Mbps connection).

So I take it nobody here in malaysia got into the gameplay screen? Har har.

if we in malaysia are blocked then it's up to vorchiel to deliver her impressions on the game.

I did the same thing, I got a jump as well. I hope it doesnt mean the update got corrupted

400++ ? It's 700 MB! It's like ur only downloading half of the game, then the other half comes in form of an update.

it's postponed to the 25th. So I'll have a chance to be among the first to play it as well.

the problem with region 1 games is aren't their servers locked to US for some games? Our ping to US isnt exactly superfast.
