what i see is an active cooling for the stock graphics, which translate to more noise....?
xeon procs should be cooler by now, since it's on a 45nm engraving.... but a slightly faster memory modules translates to higher heat output....
Well the 1900XT that I run with my MacPro is inaudible except at startup when the fan kicks in at full power. It then spins down to it's normal operating speed which is silent. Even with running BF2142 and or CC3 for extended gaming sessions it remains quiet. Hopefully the 8800GT keeps the same noise level down.xeon procs should be cooler by now, since it's on a 45nm engraving.... but a slightly faster memory modules translates to higher heat output....
I'd be interested how the new machines perform on standard PC benchmarks: PCMark; 3DMark etc. etc.
btw. Eithanius; you need a bigger monitor....
