Well, i'm sure it can work for older mac pros, just need some hacking. Hackintosh already can get 8800GT works witout issues

if like mine, 0.34GHz difference, 4 cores to 8 cores, double the amount of L2 cache, justified lar....

but the current one is only a mere difference of 0.4GHz, same amount of cores from the standard specs...

btw, how much is your configuration costs, and mind listing down your configured specs...?
