You can walk in and install it, but if they say no stock, then you're screwed lor...
That why people say, call first. There is (what I know so far), 2 set of centre belt based on colour, black or brown. If you go in and they say dont have the same color, then waste your time only. QUOTE(zenwarlord @ Jan 7 2009, 09:19 PM) Also, the free installation for Gen-2 seatbelt is NOT FOR ALL GEN-2. Please do not confuse reader Only Gen-2 manufactured within a certain year (that does not have the seatbelt) will be free. For the rest (and newer model), they should already have the belt installed. Also, this free installation DOES NOT include repairs for spoil belt, change a wear-and-tear belt, WIRA cars, WAJA cars and other similar nature. IT is ONLY APPLICABLE for GEN-2 and ISWARA/SAGA built within a period of time. What is that period, go proton website and check. |

I called PSC at Puchong... They say current out of stock, booked a place and they will order for me....
How long to wait = 1 month And to clarify to all gen-2er here. 1) 4 ppl at the back 1.1) 3 ppl will have seat belt. 4th person does not need to wear seat belt. 1.2) This only apply to policeman. see if they want to makan duit or not. Because Gen-2 "officially" only allow 3 ppl at the back. 4th person onward, driver "should" kena saman. p/s) you wont get saman for 4th person not wearing seatbelt, but you will get saman for overloading your car. 2) Gen.2 , May 2006 – June 2008 , 81,930 units, G000001 – G107849 2.1) This is a typical typing mistake. The actual is Gen-2, May 2004 (first batch) until June 2008 and/or Gen-2 with chassis NO# between G-1 to G-107849. 2.2) Outside this range, I'm sorry. Added on January 9, 2009, 11:34 amActually, I wonder who has Gen2 with chassis G-1 (the first car) ... Wonder if it is still on the road or not.. Very weird thing happen today...
Car Engine stopped. I'm outside the car already, door locked already but I can still heard the fan sound Then after breakfast, I go back and check, the sound still there. Have to restart the engine, and then turn off the engine before the fan will stop... |

Shazmn bro,
After u added the bar to the engine bay (3rd last pic, the red bar), do you have problem when changing air filter? I notice the way those in PSC change air filter, and somehow it seem to have problem if we install the bar, or I overlook something in the process ? |

My 2 cents (and question):
Item#1 (New extractor). I wanna go "green" Item #2 (FPR) Bad Year, no bonus Item #3 (Large Snorkel) I though you dont do installation and it is D.I.Y style? Item #4 (Drop In Filter) If bring to service @ PSC, they know how to wash or not? Item #5 (Zaptor) Installed, but didnt notice much in terms of response or handling.. Feel abit waste of 80$ for the zaptor Item #6 (free service) Free all-you-can-eat pizza by shazmn ? » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « |

No need to take it too seriously, my friend..
My earlier post is more of a 50%serious-50%mamak post In actuality, I believe that the initial setup of gen-2 good enough.. Even with factory setting, there is few vehicle(drivers) that actually out-speed me during pickup and highway.. Zaptor was installed because I hate the headlight dim-ed when the compressor fan kicks in, but it doesn't seem to help in that sense.. And the fuel regulator is a good investment, this must I can say from the "research" online. Only thing stopping me is my initial debt This post has been edited by Dovienya: Feb 1 2009, 12:46 AM |

It is not fair to classify user card dealer as "never honest". It is more polite for us to say that they're just looking for earning. Keep in mind that their salary is mostly on commission basis and they are specialized salesman, not mechanics.
Now, MO: Used Perdana V6 ; I never trust second hand Perdana since the issue with their gearbox. Read around, you'll notice a trend in which certain batch of Perdana will have the same gearbox issue. However, if you manage to find one with a solid service history or trust-worthy Perdana, then go ahead. Perdana is better in all way compares to Gen-2. Only loses to the fact that Perdana is more for the "senior citizens" compares to Gen-2. Normal Gen 2 vs Gen 2 CPS; Think of it as the following. Gen-2 uses campro engine. Campro engine come with CPS. But due to "some" issue, they release initial Gen-2 w/o CPS. CPS allows the engine to work at the peak performance. So, in a layman term, gen2 = car. gen2 cps = "performance-tuned" car. My question is this: how "tuned" you wanted your car to be. If you want an office-home car, my advice is Gen2. The original non-CPS spec is good enough to out-speed alot of stock cars in KL. If you want to "fly", better get a CPS. The only solid advice (from alot of ppl here), if you are going for Gen-2, please try to get manual version if you can. I have auto vers, and it is bloody slow Last point to ponder = will you spend 55K for 9 years, or will you spend 30K for 9 years? (assuming you manage to find a decent/nice second hand gen2) » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « forgot to add: I do have friend in second hand car business. I can pm you the number, but I cant/not able to vouch for him, since I only bought 1 car from him so far. I can only say that he's in the business/company since 1997, and that he is still in the same business/company. This post has been edited by Dovienya: Mar 10 2009, 10:45 AM |

Sorry Sorry... mistake mistake...
What I was refering to is 1. Item-A = most people will change to aftermarket exhaust as they claims there is a "filter"-thing in the original setup that reduces the overall horsepower. 2. Item-B = most auto gearbox will have this. It convert some horsepower as replacement for clutchs (?). Sorry, my mistake.. forgot what they mean, so refer to both items as catcon.. sorry sorry. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « |
