hey guys..im new here, my family hv a piece of land in rural area at kelantan, i jus wonder hw to make profit from it..i thought of agriculture like growing some chillies..any other ideas?? sick of working in city!!

you sure you can leave up city life and go farming ? Thats like going back to the 50's lol. Probably you shd hire someone to manage the farm n earn money for you every month

Yeah would be useful to know the location and size, and what it is currently used for. Then we can help to brainstorm ideas together.

how many hectares of land do you have / what type or condition of the soil / rainfall?

the size of the land is important to determine the best out of it. i dont think it would be good to seek for suggestions over here especially for agriculture industry unless someone here has BEEN into it. else our suggestion might not be pragmatic.

approach govt agencies, i've heard of advertisement regarding consultation for agriculture.. wont harm to pay them a visit, after all, its free / they are paid by tax payer. make use of it

hehe, actually i dun mean to give up monthly salary work, jus that im sick of kl city life, coz kelantan is quite peaceful and not rush liike kl city. so thought of why not stay there and work and at the same time make some profit out of the land.

Added on January 18, 2008, 1:03 pmthank, actually agro-buisness is the oni idea that i had to make profit from the land, but the land is not that big for agro, im affraid, it would not make profit out of the capital cost. the area of the land is about 80m x 40m. any idea of wat kind of agro that suitable for this kind of area, if i not mistaken, previously the land was plant v tabacco, but since no one wan to rent it, now its empty..
