Post office is closed on the first Saturday of the month.

If don't want ur syrian to do that, you can use a porcelain or glass food bowl. Can get cheap in Ikea. Or those rm7 small porcelain dog food bowl.

It really depends on how tame is the syrian is. Also if your hands smells like food it will bite also. Both male and female is fine.

If you want to buy really tame syrians, you can get from JTL or Nezu. They have the most tame syrians here.

I think your RC is afraid of humans that's why it is biting everyone trying to touch it. This could be due to the RC was mishandled by the pet shop people before you bought the RC.

Taming the RC will take longer time and patience. You will need to gain the RC's trust first. I know saying is easy than doing it.

I saw that you are already putting the RC for adoption in the adoption thread. You should try to tame the RC first instead of giving up and get another hamster. Good luck!

I still have the 2 males robos that me and sangels first bought and until today they still won't let me hold them. They will puke all the food in their pouches or bite when I hold them. But I'm still keeping them and hopefully will tame them one day

Or you can go near it and take a sniff...

We got a new 2 feet tank from JTL last night when coming back from Ipoh. The pictures of Shasha was taken when she is a cardboard box we used to transport her home from Ipoh.

Added on February 17, 2008, 11:36 amAnyone encounter this above with their hamsters? We tried cleaning the wound with some anti-septic and JackJack was in pain and started to poo non-stop. The wound looks like a small hole. Think he bit he own testicles.

Yes he can. All my syrians can bend a C shape to lick their testicles. Something like how dogs or cats do it. But not sure why he bit his own testicles in the first place but the vet said it could due to irrations to his testicles.

JackJack is on antibiotics to help subdue the inflamation of his testicles.

The vet is in Taman Segar, Cheras. They also treats small animals besides dogs and cats.

You can feed them twice a day. I usually put 2-3 teaspoon of Prestige per hamster. Once in the morning and once in the evening.

You can feed them apples, guava, etc. But not citrus fruits like orange, lemon, etc.

What hamster do you have?
You can try giving your hamster a treat when s/he tries to bite you, so that s/he will be busy eating instead of biting you.

I did that with my syrian and now it doesn't bite me anymore after it get more tamed.

That is why I asked what hamsters he got.

My syrians either eat on the spot or swallow into cheek pouch.

Shasha is missing from her tank as of now. Think she have escaped some how when sangels was not at home. Not sure how a 4 weeks old syrian so small can climb out a 2 feet tank.

Hope that Shasha is still alive in the apartment building. Have put Shasha's food bowl outside the tank hoping she will come back when she is hungry.

Sangels is devastated over this.

I think she climb the wheel and got out from the lid as it was opened to let air in. But didn't know she can reach so high up to the lid.

Shasha jumped down from a 2 feet tank which is on a plastic chair. That's about 3-4 feet high.

Sangels stays in Ketumbar Height in Cheras.

Pretty Pets in Ipoh Garden (it's at the shop lot behind Pizza Hut nearby those specialist) carries Prestige Hamster. Saw it last week only when was in Ipoh with sangels.

Just go to the back of the shop on the same side as the cashier counter. You will see it on the shelves.
