Actually I have a small tanks to keep them when I clean their homes. I will put bathing sand inside for them to run/dig around.

The sand can be reuse a few times before throwing.

They will poo everywhere even in the food bowl. My robos even sleep and eat in the toilet tongue.gif

how much is the price for sanko wheel?
isnt the safari wheel already good enough for syrian?
or there are something wrong with safari wheel?
*
Well if you did your research properly you would know that there is nothing wrong with the Safari Wheel but it is a little small for syrians as syrians requires wheels that are 8inches or more in diameter. The Safari wheel is 7inches I think (can't remember).

Sanko Wild 21cm (8.26 inches) Silent Wheel cost about RM60-70+. If JackJack runs on it, you can see that his back is straight instead of bending a little when running in Safari Wheel which is causing strain on his back. It's good for their backs when they are running in a bigger wheel.

i'm going to find a new wheel for montee too..
i hope there's sanko wheel around here.. biggrin.gif
KP is doing bulk for wodent wheel which cost around rm70-80 i think..
*
KrazyPeaches? (hope I spell her name correct) That is Wodent Wheel Senior which is an 11inch wheel. I don't think it can fit a 2 feet tank or Jackjack's ZooZone2 laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif But if someone is doing a bulk for the Wodent Wheel Junior 8" wheel then it will be just nice. And I will be the first to buy 2 of them tongue.gif tongue.gif tongue.gif

Wodent Wheel Sr will consume half the space of 2f tank..laugh.gif sweat.gif
if anyone has bigger tank, maybe its ok..
blurjoey, you start la the bulk for wodent wheel jr..  thumbup.gif
*
You didn't count the height of the Wodent Wheel Sr. which is about 12.3 inches. Then it will be customize hamster habitat not tank or cage anymore. sweat.gif sweat.gif sweat.gif

You think so easy to just do a bulk ar? Need to know the vendors/distributors well. hmm.gif hmm.gif hmm.gif

Why don't don't you do? If you do then I confirm order 2 wheels from you and pay you in full first when ordering. How about that? icon_idea.gif thumbup.gif icon_idea.gif thumbup.gif

It's Hagen ZooZone2. I bought mine from Pets More in Queen's Park, Cheras. It cost about RM140+ but I did get a 10% discount and also the member card.

You can also find it in Pet Safari & Pets Family. Other small pet shop would have it also.

jamince,

Welcome. Anyway too much kuaci is bad for their health. You should try Prestige Hamster for their food. But even my robos will pick all the kuaci first then will eat the rest if there is no more kuaci.

If they fight until one of them is bleeding then you should separate them but if not then they are just play fighting. They usually fight to see who is more dominant.

Sand bath you would need a deep bowl & sand bath. Robos will go in there to roll around. I usually put the robos in a small tank with sand bath when I'm cleaning their cage/tank.

I know there is a lot of bedding...haha..i just dun wan the cage to smell.. i mix the delikate bedding with breeder celect.
for the toilet, the look-out will be their toilet, i put those hamster litter at that place.. yes, they really sleep there, poo there..haha tongue.gif

*edited*

Robo is very tame..they have not bite me..
*
Nice Safari you got there. But the bottle is too high for the robos. You can put the bottle inside the Safari at a lower bar. We are doing the same for the same setup. Just observe if they can reach the bottle or not.

If he want to let go of her, I think she is better off back to Reanne as she was previous owner. I think the syrian might need extra care, who knows what have happened to her in FrostFox's care. unsure.gif unsure.gif unsure.gif

Anyway don't think you can stand the smell of a syrian's tank in 5-7 days time. If you use a 2 feet tank even worst when you open the lid. I know how it smells like because Fumoffu is using the 2 feet tank and it stinks in less than 7 days shocking.gif shocking.gif shocking.gif

If you are looking for tubes for the safari, me and sangels got some habitrail mini tubes (which is suitable for robos) to sell. PM me or sangels if you are interested.

Not using anymore cause it is really a pain to wash once a week as the robos will pee, poo, eat, and sleep inside the tubes. Also I have a ZooZone2 and a 2feet tank to wash also with the Habitrail Safari. Let you know what you are getting into first.

3 of my Syrians love sand bath alot.......  thumbup.gif  you can give a try.
*
Well it does help a little with the smell as Fumoffu stinks abit. I would usually put them in a small tank with bathing for them to run around in but never see them roll around tongue.gif JackJack doesn't like sand bath but he is fine cause he always groom himself.

Bought the 1 feet tank and bath sands... put the syrians in... they just sniff2 and look stupid inside there tongue.gif and then busy want to get out tongue.gif what i did is i put some sand on their back and rub it in tongue.gif did the same with the GP tongue.gif But they eat the sand, is it hazardous? I faster take them out after i saw it, but i know they ate some also.
*
Usually my syrians will just run around and dig here and there. Sometimes will put of the sand over their bodies or roll them over gently.

I think the sand is not hazardous as hamsters are from the deserts. Maybe they are moving the sand like how the moved hay? unsure.gif unsure.gif unsure.gif

I saw in the GP thread that your 2 GPs is in a tank with toilet sand wor... Is this the 'bathing' sand you mentioned? Bathing sand is finer and white/yellow color like those sand in white beaches. I think you are using the wrong sand. You should use the bathing sand instead of the toilet sand tongue.gif tongue.gif tongue.gif

You want to put a syrian in a Habitrail Safari??? shocking.gif shocking.gif shocking.gif That cage is so small for a syrian. Dwarfs still can use Habitrail Safari but syrian is too big for it. Why don't you get 2 feet tank instead?

Believe me, Fumoffu used to stay in a Habitrail Safari and less than 1 day we changed him to a 2 feet tank after seeing how cramped it was for him in the Safari.

Also the smell of pee will be worst than the 2 feet tank. tongue.gif tongue.gif tongue.gif You can smell then in less than 20m. laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif

FrostFox,

If you have read up from the 1st page of this thread or V5 or other hamster websites. You would know that syrians will stay tamed even if you left them alone for a week or so without any human interactions.

sangels was talking about robos which will be untamed in a few days without human interactions and our syrians are tamed from the beginning because they come from good small pet shops owners who took better good care for them.

You got your rare syrian from Reanne but still you got a very long way to go in order know how to better take care of them. Hopefully the rare syrian Reanne gave you will have a good life with you. sweat.gif sweat.gif sweat.gif

im not .. or am i?? XD .. is there a diffrence in hamsters from pet shops and hamsters from people?
*
Dude,

For goodness sake, read from the first page of these thread. You will know there is a difference between getting from a big pet shop (pet safari) and getting from small pet shops (pet shack) and home breeders (reanne, crazymouse, nezu, etc).

This goes for other pets too if you don't know. Some small pet shops & home breeders do it for passion of the pets so they took better care of the pets whereas big pet shops do it for the profit and they don't handle the pets.

You should go to the peta website and watch how cruel they treat pets in those big shops.

Again please read more before replying as it makes you look silly sweat.gif sweat.gif sweat.gif

What thingy you talking about? Sapphire is a name like FrostFox not a thingy...

I really doubt all your posts now... From the beginning you asked about breeding to posting the picture of Sinclair asking what kind of hamster she is... Then you denied not knowing who is Reanne and the hamsters she gave you when sangels asked you. Then you said she gave you the WW without mentioning the syrian. Now this.

To tell you the truth, I'm not purposely aiming to shoot you for this but your posts really got a lot of doubts. So which is the truth? You're going in circles here with this...
