Hi guys, I don't know much about telephones so I need some help!

1. Brand - Any brand except Motorola (I've used a V3 for 2 years now and I hate it)
2. Budget - Below 1000? Cheaper is better...
3. Specs - I just want a basic telephone, don't need funky stuff like cameras or music or video..... most important things are:

a. Long battery life for standby and talking
b. Slim to fit into clothes without an ugly bulge
c. Not heavy like a brick
d. Programs are not slow and laggy (like my louya Motorola )
e. Good call quality, with good speaker phone for conference calls
f. Got Bluetooth
g. Must be able to use in other Asian countries (I travel alot due to work)
h. Won't berkecai if drop on the floor

so basically I just want a simple & functional telephone, not a MP3 player+GPS+Camera+Movie Player+Email+Internet+Laser Gun....

4. Type/Size - Small, slim flip-phone (clamshell) please. Ugly is okay, phone is to keep in my pocket not to hang on my chest.

Any feedback would be appreciated! I've been looking all over and I can't find a phone to meet my needs.

How about W810i?
2.0 MP camera with Autofocus.
It has white color and suits girls too.

well can consider sonyericsson w880i slim,sexy,3g,good function,comes with 1gb m2 im also using it suitable for female or nokia 6120 pink colour its very nice colour with symbian os 3g with good function as well but if for web browsing and camera nokia 6120 is better compare to w880 because my self i use both before so im clear with the 2 phones functions if u dont mind candbar phones but if u wan flip than consider sonyericsson z610i and blue colour is nice

K810i vs W910i which one should i take.
this is the 1st time i buy a handphone. i never own a handphone be4 this. therefore i would like to get one tat is reli worth and satisfy me. some opinion plz...

So my good old NOKIA finally breaks down on me, uh, here goes:

1. Brand.
any that is good.

2. Budget.
RM700~750

3. Specs.
Would like something that does decent job on both mp3 and cam.

4. Type/Size. (Candybar, Clamshell etc...)
Prefer slider phone, I liked the SE S500i's design a lot but I feel it is lacking in both mp3 and cam feature.

I would choose N82. The camera is 5.0MP
N81 is only 2.0MP, but we just can't deny that it is a slide phone and the design is nicer.
K850 quality is not as good as N82.

Thanks for the input, but the two phones you mentioned are not flip phones so I would think twice. The Sony Ericsson phone is really fat!

Well maybe u can have a look at sonyericsson K530i price somewhere yr RM500 budget and its going down again.. so just keep an eye on that phone 3G enable as well..

Can go to lelong to check it out price is under RM500 only haha maybe u can COD wit them

AP W810 is around RM500.
AP K550 is below RM500.

1. Brand : Preferable Nokia / SE / Samsung
2. Budget : RM300 +-
3. Specs : with basic mp3 and camera. Bluetooth is a must. Big screen with big words.
4. Type/Size : Any type will do, but don't so bulky.

i dont really reccoment flip phones cause to me so far no flip phones is good ,tough and wont last long..maybe u can try to consider about slide phones example SE. W910,Samsung I-450 or NK 6500 slide but if for u i will reccoment SE. W910 red colour or SE W890

Bro yr fren male/female?because male or female cause different gender they wan different thing like female of course they dont want to use bulky phones like nokia communicators rite??if for male go for candybar type phone if female go for slide but i reccoment SE.K770 3.2 MP 3G function not bad as SE phones fuction never change much and after u buy K770 u still got extra money to buy yr gal flower

Not I kedekut, I am just afraid that she don't use the function.
She just use to call and sms.
The MP3 and camera also is extra bonus so that her phone is still not so out-dated type.

Well its better for u to go shop see la the nokia 3500 its really not bad think yr mum would be happy wit it cause its a gift and parents look at heart and sincereness only not price or function..but at least yr mum still can sms haha my mum dono how to use sms and camera wat more mp3 really funny she dont use all those functions but she still wan the phone...
