I am loving my P990i for its capabilities, but hating it for its sluggishness due to its lack of RAM.

Any update on the green tint issue?

I went to the authorized SE service center, I'm told there's no solution YET on the camera issue. They don't have any other camera module to exchange cos is all the same. I'm told to wait while they will pass this matter to the SE. Heard all cybershot having the same problem, but is the yellow tint. Any other solution on this?

According to the service personnel, many cybershots models have the same problem. Is that true? This is a serious quality control issue. Can't believe it happens in a Top Japan corporate. 

SONY has a reputation of mass producing garbage imaging sensor. remember the case where all the CCD sensor in almost every major brand camera have to be replaced? It's a SONY

Should be getting this phone soon but the green tint is holding me back.

Funny thing is, I was playing around with this phone and K850 at the SE shop.  Ended up keep touching the icons (messaging, phonebook, etc) on the K850 screen and wondering why it wont open.....until my gf snapped me out of it.

at times da phone would get hang, after hang up especially if u dial numbers where got operator ask to key in selected number for selected menu.

even i try to press "return" button oso no use... end up, i found da trick by pressing "camera", then onli press "return" then onli become normal...

There's another thing.... sometimes my phone will get hang,
lets say there's a miss call, i click more and click view to view miss call rite?
if u quickly touch screen return, the call log will stay there....even watever button u press oso no use.... except u press camera button then press return button, then onli ok.... End up, after view the miss call log...wait abit while then press "return" then onli ok....

izit all this normal?

hi everyone, juz got my phone back today. the shop claimed that the AP company had repaired the phone for me, but what i c is that the green monster still exist. so i guess the ap cant really look into this matter as they cant have the lens module from sony ericsson(and i suppose they cant get the part from elsewhere....who knows). and i had asked the sony ericsson service centre, they claimed that they can help on the repair as request by customer. and the cost of changing the camera module is around RM210. what i have in mind is that i wont go to ap for the claim anymore, i will rather straight go to service centre if they can really solve the issue.

Finally jump on the wagon, just got my p1i, so far only complain is the readability under the sun, not as good as nokia. Need some time to get use to the interface.

Just got mine few days ago, and still playing with it. I wish it has the red button like Nokia N-Series where it close everything in just one button. Now I have to constantly end task in the task manager. Is there any way out for that?

Yalo. But most people who own P990 dont think of changing their P990 to P1 leh..

but as for me, the camera although there is some problem (for me minor only)..still produce good n nice image..although it cannot compete with the likes of k800/k810 but the later are camera centric phones...

I dont mind about phone camera la..coz i have my own Sony digicam lo. hehe..as long as the phone wouldnt lag, then everything will be ok for me lo..hehe
