If you are trying to install latest firmware, you need to install sony ericsson update service from sonyericsson website. Exchange ActiveSync (EAS) is push mail software. If your phone is preloaded with Blackberry then you cant install EAS, uninstall blackberry first then only install EAS

The phone can keep more than 200 messages, that's for sure.
To me, the audio quality is quite amazing for a non-walkman phone.

Aiya u should read first page post#5 Tips and Tricks : Press Alt twice and it will turn to numeric keypad (thinks to fx_53_xt for his hard work)

You need to on the on screen keyboard : in Text Input > On-screen keyboard > Input method > choose Chinese virtual keyboard.
Dont worry the 3 boxes wont appear if you didnt on the handwriting & keyboard. Look for the keyboard icon on top right whenever you want to type.

While you are typing, look at top centre, there is a box icon showing "Aa" means alpha mode, now if you press Alt one time, it will turn to "12" means one time numeric mode, press again it will turn to "123" means numeric mode.

Are you saying that the on-screen keyboard does not pop out automatically each time you are typing. You want the P1 to show the on-screen keyboard each time you are typing (irrespective of whether you are using on-screen keyboard or qwerty keypad). Right ?

If that is the case, sorry I cant seen to find any of these function yet. Probably 3rd party software can do it

after 2-3 days using p1i.i think w810 produce better quality pics compare to this p1i (after update p1i, it still cant compete with w810 quality pics)
read in neoman..this p1i use not so good lens compare to w810 or perhaps still software prob that not being address...now i miss my old w810 (which lie in hp shops  )

aside from that, this p1i rocks 

well...my name not in the list too. it doesn't bother me anyway..

just wanna report in what i found out yesterday. after shooting a few pics with phone, i straight keep it in the pouch (coz i know it will go into power saving mode later). 3 hours later, my phone batt already fall to around 10% from 80-70% initially. and the phone felt a lil more warm.

my guess is, power saving mode only applies to the screen (it went off). in my case, the camera still running and consume power. i've yet to try this again to confirm my theory. no time la...anyone wanna try?

ok2..i get wat u mean. the reason why i hate it is becoz i never actually felt in love with the P1i when i use it..coz it needs time to get used to the keyboard. thats my point. my only true point. no assumptions ok?

n all the user here must be feeling like stupid if they complain on the keyboard. since u can tell how it felt the first time u hold the phone. so why buy it in the first place? rite?

nice! i jaz flame the thread! its too boring coz all were to nice to each other. u all must include sum kind of flame war a bit for the P1i now dun u? if its not, people would not even realize what exactly wrong with the P1i.

anyway, all the thing i said, it is true. i read reviews everywhere. n they had the same thing. well, i'm sorry if i flamed n make u guys angry. I should have act much more professional.Yes, i'm a WM fan boy. but, the WM is currently doesn't have a very stable platform(do they ever have one? ). Unless the WM7(can't promise a s***t) that's going to be released soon(bye2 Wm6 fans!).. so , i'm gonna ditch the WM-fanboy label on my nick.

So, i wanna make a conclusion. There's hundreds of smartphone out there. but to see this thread being put on the title as "Ultimate" is something that i think inappropriate. Think guys, the thread starter already flame the other smart phone user. What if i put "Nokia E51 , the super-duper-ultimate-no challenger-for-eternity smartphone" for eg... what r the other smart phone user going to think?

The WM interface n platform is much more entertaining..but i dun see they put there the "ultimate" device or whatsoever. Or maybe because the platform were not stable, so the ultimate should be put aside?

I'm jaz putting things like... dude, stop with the ultimate thingy. Coz the phone is seriously not.
