Hi All..

I'm new here. For the past few weeks, been surveying for a new hp to purchase.
Finally, my choice is down to either E65 or P1. But now, I'm getting fonder on P1 rather than E65.

After goin through all the comment here, seem like the green pic problem still not solve in the new FW but i don't really mind on this as I seldom use phone cam 1. Some user have problem with accessing the SIM card contact. If so, is there any way i can copy my SIM card contact to my phone?

Plan to get P1 next week.

I just got my P1 yesterday nite. But now, I'm not able to view or copy the contact from my sim card to the phone.
Can someone help me pls? Thanks.

I try this few times earlier, but it just didn't show anything when i view the SIM.
Just now, I run the setup wizard, and in the last step of the wizard, it ask whether want to copy contact from SIM to phone. I select yes and it ran for like 1/2 hr and seem to be hanging.
So, i shutdown the phone and start it back.

Guess what, I'm able to see the SIM contact now, and have copied the contact to the phone.
Funny thing is, some of the contact have additional $ symbol or some funny character in front of the contact and some contact seem to be missing.

Can some teach me how to set alarm on P1? Been playing around with it but still unable to find the alarm features. thanks.

Why is the picture taking on P1 feel so slow? I just try to take the photo of my 1 year old niece who can't seem to look still at the cam.
After I click the capture button, the display will show 'working'. But the output of the pic will be different from the one when I press the capture button.
Like i press the capture button when my niece look at the camera and after that she turn away. The output show the picture when she's looking away.
Any idea why? thanks.

Thanks for the info. My CDA is 162024/95 R5A. Will try to upgrade to latest FW later. Just a question, once I upgrade to the latest FW, is it possible to downgrade it later?

Hi Everyone..
I'm now trying to upgrade my firmware for the 1st time.
Just finish charging my phone and connect my phone to my pc using the usb cabel (phone is still on).
Then, i run the Update Service. Now, it just keep on displaying the animation of SE logo and been running like this for more than 10mins.

Am I doing to correct thing or is this a normal behavior? Btw, below is the info of my phone.

Phone:

Bluetooth:
CXC162143 R1D

Organizer:
CXC 162156 R6E30

CDA:
CDA 162024/95 R5A

I just plug out the usb cabel from my pc and i kill the update service from the task manager. Now, i just try to launch the update service without plugin in my phone. The funny thing is, the update service is still showing the SE animation. I plan to let it run for a while and see what is the outcome of this. Anyway, thanks for your fast reply. Cheers.

Based on the CDA list from page 1, the latest CDA are as below.

I'm confused why my FW is different compare to the latest CDA. Can someone shed some light on this? Thanks.

Any idea what the number infront of R6G04 represent?
Btw, my phone is less than 1 week old, but I accidentally drop it to floor just now. Now there is some scratches on the front side near the camera.

Anyone know whether it's possible to do copy/paste in message?
Example, i want to copy this word "testing" and straight paste it few times without having to key it in myself.
Something like Cntl+C and Cntl+V in window.

thanks for yr help.. btw, is there any shortcut to do this instead of going to more->copy and more->paste?

I encounter the same problem when i try to install sw using pc suite. It will abort itself during the installation and I'm using the same singapore firmware.
My workaround is copy the sis file to my phone and then run the installation from the phone. Go main menu->control panel->other->install. The sw you plan to should be showing here, depends on where you copy it earlier to, either on the phone or card.

When charging this phone, how will I know when the battery is fully charge?
Everytime i charge my phone, the indicator light near the bottom just display green and it doesn't ever change colour.

1500 for original set? I juz got my AP set 2 weeks ago for 1.2k
