did u save it after u done sliding the brightness slider or you just simply press the back button?
i previously have this headache and i realize i didn't click the save thingy
how to check which year the phone is produced? speaking of green tint, i never really did tested out my camera for tat. gonna try it later. the green tint is sensor issue, fw upgrade MIGHT reduce the tint as reported by some, but it is definitely still there

Yeah, it will change after taking the picture or you can just try to focus, then cancel the focus. It'll show you the right icon.
Another method is to press the "#" button twice.

if you want to read mandarin character by using this method, download the fonts from here : http://secentral.net/forum/index.php?topic=12325.0 and create a Resource/Fonts folder inside ur memory stick and paste the fonts inside.

if you just want some fancy fonts for bling bling effect, find your desired fonts, rename them to the same as above, and paste into the memory stick like above
