Hi guys... Im a proud owner of Samsung YP P2 since I bought it yesterday.

I got myself the 4gb and wow.. I'm really impressed of what it can do.

I updated the Bluewave firmware of 2.08 and wow... it can sync to my hp via bluetooth and it works like an iphone. Not only that it also have 16.9 widescreen format and 3inch screen and I try uploaded my anime in it and its very clear..

Just wondering if there is any other P2 user out there as it seems that very little ppl know about this model.

Its also have great EQ preset and with DNSE2 the sound quality is much better than IPOD and serious.. you can try out the mp3 yourself.

Now awaiting for future upgrade of Bluewave firmware which is set to launch end of this month for it to play game.

Will post in my own picture later of the day or tomorrow.

And I can't wait for its upgrade to come to Malaysia which we can surf wifi using this babe and add in microsd card for expansion.

I got mine for RM740 at Viewnet yesterday.

The best is test it out urself and I think lotsa promoter dunno it can use as phone as you must download the firmware from Samsung.

Hihi.. nope... its actually work like the bluetooth earpiece for P2. Meaning that you need a phone that support bluetooth. Think if possible, a phone that support bluetooth 2.0 with a2dp as it will much clearer.

damn cool player..i must say..but user frenly..i must say its still my ipod touch.

i own and ipod touch first..then only got myself this black 4gb p2. the bluetooth and DNse and Ui is all cool but i find it easier to search for songs with my TOUCH then P2..

I dont own Ipod touch but I compare with my Iphone and this mp3 player emits better sound quality than Iphone. I mean using the same earplug. lol.

yeah..i was so excited when i first sync with my mobiles..

can make new calls, dial last number...damn cool..

but then recently i been experiencing some prob with the "reception" when i pick up a call with my P2 directly, i can hear the sound but in a very very sharp tone..totally donno what the caller is talking about..

but when i switch to handset..its ok..then when i switch back to P2..then back to normal already..

Oh what phone you using ? As Im using Samsung E590 to sync with my P2. So far still so good. What earplug you use for ur P2. Im using Mylar XB as my earplug now. The stock one really not so great or I'm to use to canal earplug. lol

Erm.. maybe you can try syncing with different phone and see it still got problem or not. As I also tried on Sony Ericsson and Nokia and no problem with the phone sound also.

Just picked up the P2 and the BS300 today! Didn't do much except connect it with each other and mobile phones .

Any reccommendation on software to convert the video's to wmv? Considering only WMV and Samsung's own SVI is supported...

Samsung use its own conversion SMI, SVI. Other than Samsung media Studio, I couldnt found yet other program for video conversion.

For some stupid reason Samsung Media Studio won't convert my vid files. Anyway managed to overcome it. When converting video's use the following settings:-

- Xvid
- Audio encoded as Mp3
- Set B-Frames to 0
- Resolution 480 x 272 (Actually this is the max, think it'd accept lower res if you're concerned about filesize)

After conversion, just rename to .svi, then copy into the P2.

Still damn impressed on how good video looks on it.

Hope they support more video formats in the future.

Love the new firmware alot... Regarding about dlight comment. I try to sync it with Iphone, HTC dual Touch, Sony Ericsson W300 and it works fine with me.

How do you sync it.. as at first im having trouble to connect it too but in the end... after figuring how its easy actually.

You can try this and its a free ware. Works fine with me. But usually I do use the default Samsung Converter and it posed no trouble for me. Good luck mate. Just skin my P2. Will upload some picture soon. Hehe

Get it from Ebay Singapore. i got mine a leather case with cover total RM 42 so it's a good buy.

In Low yat a good case is easily from RM 50-RM100 anyway there's none yet for P2.

Yeah.. I do agree with dinamoe. I have no problem with all the movies i converted to my P2. Think converted more than 20 show and all is fine as long u convert the avi file only. MKV, have to use different software. Hehe

I had listen this Player before, sound quality is reall awesome but problem is not support loseless files and the size is only up to 4gb. Anyway the design is nice even is a touch screen. i own a YP9. regret get early haha...

DONT BUY SAMSUNG YP-P2 till they solve the firmware problem. Mine when fully loaded hang till %$^&#...
First time on the first day it hang till the screen becomes half then they immdiately change a new unit from samsung at Low yat. After 2 weeks later, it completely hang till cannot reset.

Went to have it repaired and they changed the main board. Damn, the new firmware is all in Korean but aiyo hang again. Cannot restart so tomorrow I am going to demand a new unit.

I compared this with I Touch thinking this is more stable but completely opposite.

Paying more than RM 700 for damn junk!!!

Tried to send email to Samsung but no customer service email only have toll free number. So bad service!!

Hmm...it's not the firmware problem but the hardware problem dude... Did u upgrade the firmware by procedure? All the users of P2 seems no problem with the firmware...

It is mainly the hardware problem and you cant make a shoutout by "dont buy YP-P2" just because of firmware problem ....because it is not in the crucial statement of the condition of the firmware problem but the hardware the P2 u purchase for...u can claim damages for that by renew one...

Bought from Gadget gear in Low Yat and it was a Samsung representative that sold it to me. I was actually looking for the ipod itouch. The firmware problem was quoted by Samsung Jalan 229. The technician even told me not to upgrade and use the current version but it does not support blue tooth hand phone so I upgraded anyway.

I realised this problem happens when it is close to 98% full capacity. Both occured during the same time.

I demanded a new unit from Samsung and they are processing it but not confirm by the management yet, hope I get it.

well....let's just hope that u'll get a new one....

One thing...which Website or hyperlink do u DL the firmware from??
Now currently the latest is 3.15 which has korea , europe, canada, US version if not mistakes....but i currently using KR version

Please be WARNED! the verdict is out on why my unit is always getting hang till canot be restarted. The hang is so severe that a main board need to be replaced everytime.

Samsung relaced 2 brand new units and multiple main boards till I cannot remember how many. For weeks, we have been spending hours till i had to setup my comp at samsung so they can diagnose.

The problem: the magnet on my new case whch I bought from ebay singapore. After we remove the case totally then everything ok. means totally dont use at all. Not even for a while.

Yes, that bad so bros please dont get any magnetic covers.

I just got my Samsung P2 from PC Fair today. I tried to connect my mobile phone and my bluetooth stereo headset with my P2, but failed as it seems to allow one Bluetooth connection at one time. When I tried to add another Bluetooth Connection, it asks to End other connection. How do I add another Bluetooth Connection on top of the existin one ?

I have already updated my firmware to the latest, ver 5.08

Erm... why can't connect to your phone. If want easier option you may choose to sync your phone to your P2 rather having P2 to find your phone. Thats the easier way i found to detect my phone on my P2. Hope this helps.

Think so as Samsung Warranty is supported Samsung Malaysia itself. But think will sent it back to my vendor at Viewnet as they can do it for me personally for the next 1 and half years.. after that really pray nothing happen.

But now already start saving for the new P3 as heard they are introducing the new haptic emo touch which can be found in Samsung Omnia phone. lolx. Dats why they stop firmware development for P2 and we all stuck with version 5.08 now. lolx. Anyone play with the Train map.. if only they have train station in Malaysia. Found it very cool as places like in Japan got even the main tourist place and they state whats over there. Quite cool though. lolx
