Just got a Yepp P2 from Icheon Airport, South Korea. Found out the new firmware is actually 5.10 which was released few weeks ago.

Yeah, am beginning to discover that it is a nice alternative to my iPod Touch 8GB. I bought the 8GB version of the P2 and has put in some games, themes and extra packs. Really not bad. Although it doesn't have the WiFi like the iPod Touch, it gained the bluetooth function which can do things like broadcasting to 2 bluetooth headsets, answer via phone, etc.

For the price, it is definitely worth it since I got it duty free and with additional 20% price reduction. After conversion, its around RM470. So not bad. The only thing I haven't got through now is the sound reproduction. I am currently pairing it with my Sennheiser CX300 but the bass is a little too much and without detail. Still optimizing via the EQ now.

I notice mine had a small issue too. Wonder if it is my error. All my mp3 files are properly tagged with song information. However, the P2 doesn't recognize any of them. All it shows is 'unknown' on the artist name, album name, etc. Using the provided software doesn't make any difference. The sample mp3 files work just fine though. I wonder why it doesn't work for my mp3 files.

Any ideas anyone?
