since ur motherboard can only supply to DDR2 533, if u slot in a 667, the speed will be limited to 533 only, but there's no harm, just running slower from the default RAM speed....

u can either slot them in pair or just use single also nvm, u can keep ur 512mb in case ur new RAM failed u.
if u didnt slot the new RAM in pair, it just cant run in dual-channel mode, in which u'll experience some slow-down in term of speed, but there's not much different with single-channel, maybe a 5% improvement |
