mine white colour also very hard to maintain... i always avoid washing outside (nvr send my car 2 wash outside since the 1st day i got my car) coz worried bout those 'swirl' or hairline scratches... usually i wash myself using water and car shampoo (which comes with a lil wax in it) only... any1 have any idea to better take care of the paint or maybe make sure it doesn't get dirty so fast?? i mean besides those polish which r very time taken

Juz use shampoo and wash den occassionally use the tar remover to remove the tough stain... 1 ques, izzit advisable 2 use the tar remover often coz i've been using it like once every months/3 weeks, worried it might affect the paint?? i'll try when i have the freetime ler... uni starting 2morrow d so will be quite bz oredi thx for ur recommendation for the wax too and btw how long can i actually keep the wax b4 it gets spoil or expired?? or izit that it doesn't have expiry date at all... sry 1st time car user here so not very sure bout all this stuff... apparently my dad has an old bottle wax but dunno whether still can use or not...

i tink for stock... 2 reach 100km/h, de rpm is about 2.6-2.8k d in my case ler...

means dun mod better?? so we wun drive too fast without noticing it and wun kena cucuk by turbo cars kidding ler... how i wish i could mod my car also but now still a student... wait till i earn my own money next time oni i start modding ler... so far wat r among ur best mod (in terms of performance) dat u've done on in ur opinion?? i mean like reli worth it and can feel de difference very obvious...

i nvr wash my car 4 2 weeks d loh... keep rainning so got fed-up oredi... Juz leave it i realise after the rain 2day my car look cleaner den b4 de rain help me clean de car d will b sending my car 4 service soon d so dun wanna wash 1st... later after the service next week i'll wash d... btw my car hit 15000km ad last few days...

went and change my alarm last week... all dis while dun reli like de 'silent' alarm coz sometimes can 4get 2 lock and sometimes lock ad still hav 2 check again... last week went and change my alarm 2 ego talking alarm as shown by the pic below... LCD chromium remote and talking sound when lock and unlock... it'll talk when de car is bump oso... cost me RM230 plus workmanship... wat u guys tink?? Juz wanna share

the immobilizer is still there but the ori alarm cut-off d ler... the ori alarm still in the car so in case in the future wanna use it still can... the talking sound is a bit robotic-like guy's voice...

actually there're many types of aftermarket alarm upgrade available around (came across a few b4 fixing mine)... there's 1 type designed specially for myvi and viva wan... juz connect the socket and it's like an additional sound and shock sensor (not very sure bout the shock sensor part)... that 1 i ask about RM200 (i tink can get cheaper summore outside), that's y i tink de 1 i fix now more worth it coz got auto arm, talking sound, shock sensor and LCD remote summore, all for RM230 oni... however, my wan is a brand new set oredi so hav 2 cut off the ori alarm but the immobilizer inside the keyhole wan is still der... the oni function i lose is the auto-dim light in the interior while lock and unlock de car but that doesn't make a diff to me oredi since it got sound so i noe whether it's lock or not...

dunno whether it's ciplak or not but it looks quality to me ler when i took a look that time in the shop... price stated in the link oni RM150 now... it's much cheaper and it comes with a new keypad as well... oh yea, i tink i made a mistake... from wat i read dun tink it comes with shock sensor tho...

kenot read de forum ler... dunno why my account cannot log-in suddenly... bout the quality part i can't comment anything la but if wanna say cheap oso not reli la... i've seen those below RM100 wan oso... 1-way alarm de price is around RM200+ wan... if 2-way around RM350 and above, so that's the price range i know... not talking bout those branded 1 like viper or cobra, the price range is basically for china or taiwan made alarm system oni... my cousin had been using 1, almost similar to mind... used bout 1 year plus d, no prob at all so far...

btw din manage to service my car today coz can't make it in time coz was bz... mayb i'll try saturday... any1 now how much will it cost for the 4th service/15000km service plus labour??

sry 4 de l8 reply... was bz l8ly... yea, de beeping sound is still der when 4get 2 take out the key or 4get 2 turn off the headlamp... the immobilizer thingy near the keyhole is also still der oso as i can c de lil' light on de dashboard still blinking... basically wat i lose is de interior light dimming only... de rest, everything is still der...

Added on March 8, 2008, 6:45 amMine also SE auto.. fc about 340km/RM50 oni leh but driving condition is 80% highway and 20% city... i drive smoothly 2 get dat fc, if i 'tekan' a lot, tink RM50 can go bout 300km plus oni...

bout the power part, from wat i heard the SE ECU is different from the normal myvi wan, the SE is more powerful but i heard the latest batch myvi ECU has been tuned similar with the SE oredi, so there's a possibility that the normal myvi is more powerful with the same SE ECU bcoz SE is heavier and u can c dat from the slightly higher fc compare to normal myvi... is de myvi u drove the latest batch wan?? however, i wouldn't claim that's a 100% true facts until i read it anywhere coz i heard dis from a few of my frens...

Muz have been hit by stone or something coz i din hit anything, when i check my bumper oso no defect... The glass of the foglamp shattered... how much will it cost 2 change the headlamp huh?? anybody noe?? mine is SE model... i saw de brand of the spotlight is 'AL' wan... tink it's branded wan rite?? muz b costly

nope... dey din drill any major hole 2 fix de alarm oso... minor wan yea coz nd 2 drill small hole for the screw of the siren near at the engine bay... de siren is placed near the 'fuse and relay' box and der's hole for the wire to go through der if i'm not mistaken so no major drilling... i'ld say everything is quite neatly done... oh yea, i 4get der's dis shock sensor he placed rite below the centre dashboard piece, juz use double sided tape 2 stick it on... very neat and looks like ori summore

bout the fog lamp, i'm not familiar about any potong shop around my area... summore i'm inexperience (first time car user) so not dare to go and ask myself coz afraid wait might kena 'chop' since i oso dunno the condition and the actual price of the item also... however, i heard that they're selling per piece for myvi fog lamp ler... hopefully i can get it...

btw, nvr been washing my car for 3 weeks oredi my place here keep on rainning nearly everyday or every alternate days...

Added on March 9, 2008, 3:44 pm yea, i also experience before, twice, once during hard brake and once during slippery rainning condition... the ABS usually kicks in when the it detected some unusual wheelspin... can feel the brake pad vibrate but nvr experience that 'beep', 'beep' sound oh... how come oh?? mayb bcoz ur newer car comes wif that feature izzit??

urs auto izzit?? mine auto SE (lil heavier)... RM50 can go bout 340km oh... 80% highway, 20% city...if tekan a bit also can at least reach 320km wat but if drive smoothly throughout then can get 360-370km oso... mayb urs mostly city driving izzit... btw if wanna compare other car in dis class (ex. gen.2, neo, persona) de fc all oso no any better also for auto... unless u can opt for the honda city or smtg smaller like viva or savvy dat class loh... Juz my 2cent

Juz went 4 my 15k service (i hit 16k oredi actually) on tues... tink i travel bout 100km/day also during my uni's semester and less den 40km during my semester break... tink my usage is slightly above average ler...

during the service, did rectify few stuff... my power window switch not sensitive (fix), bumper screw drop (fix but cost me RM5 , juz 1 screw so expensive ar??), spotlight broken - hit by stone (ask de price, RM183/piece , tink i'll fix outside, cheaper ) and my door panel got 'minor' rattling sound since de 1st service (no time 2 verify d coz i was l8)... btw i discover a kind of sound coming from my engine l8ly... it's like bird's chirping sound everytime i on de ac oni de sound will occur and oni can hear when my car is on idling... tink quite common prob as i've discover dat some of de vios and my dad's altis also use to hav dat sound but dunno how he fix l8er... can any1 help me wif dis?? wat's de source of de sound?? izzit de timing belt der not enough oil?? how can i fix de prob??
