nvidia will launch its new g94 for its 9600 series (codenamed d9p) very soon which have 256bit interface. i wonder if these gc will pawn g92 with the same 256bit. according to the internet source, the price is set at about rm600++.this is earlier than expected because the sources previously had said Nvidia would roll out the D9P in June 2008

QUOTE(Terence573 @ Jan 3 2008, 05:30 PM) 9600GT's GPU is a 65nm processing chip. We already seem this fabrication process used on on G92/D8P (8800 GT / GTS 512MB) . The nex-gen mid-range product GPU should have core clocks at 500MHz with it's memory at 2000MHz. The GPU will have 64 Shader Processors (a 8800GS will be 96SP 192bit 384MB). It is a main-stream product and only have one SLI connector so it can not support 3-Way SLI.GeForce 9600 GT uses a P545 PCB design and the memory will be 256-bit 512MB. Judging from these early specs it's a pretty save bet to say that the product's proformance will be lower than the 8800GT, and likely even its rival Radeon HD 3850/3870. from guru3d.com |
