Hi guys. Really need some help here...

I have a work-related training course scheduled in Amsterdam and continued with a vacation in London. Both are scheduled in March '08.

Thus I need some places in Klang Valley area that you guys can suggest me to buy winter clothing. It would be preferable if the shops are located in the major shopping complexes here, as I can easily reach them.

I need a complete set (everything from head to toe), and my budget is RM2000. If the amount I need can be reduced further, it will be much better because I can then use the remainder of my budget to purchase winter clothing for my wife too, as she will be accompanying me.

If possible, I would prefer the winter clothing to be a little bit formal (but not too formal), since I will be going there in a working environment.

Any suggestions of suitable, value-for-money shops?

Thanks in advance for your help! smile.gif

I remember there was a shop in One Utama old wing directly opposite Pizza Hut that sold winter stuff. I think there're some shops in leisure mall too.

Midvalley 2nd flr nxt to the music instrument shop are having a sale. You can also check Bless shop 2nd flr (charity) which is near Amarin Thai restaurant. If you're looking for 2nd hand, look no further. I have many at home from when we used to be living in europe. i.e, sweaters, trench coats, ladies coats, etc...

I don't think amsterdam is going to be that cold, like you don't need to wear a thermal jacket. London will definitely be chilly cos it would rain frequently in this season. Best to include scarves and light gloves.

I think nowadays u can hear alot of ads from TV / radios promoting their own winter wears like WinterTime, etc. etc.

I think its best you get only 1 from here and get the rest once u touchdown EU. Might have more choices there and better price.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. Yeah, I think sissonne's right: better get 1 here just for the sake of having one, and get the rest in Europe. I'm sure it would be cheaper than here, coz it's a common clothing used in Europe.

I'll try to go to all the shops that you guys mentioned next week. Thanks again!

And if you still have further suggestions, do chip in. I'd like to get as much info as possible...

i think you should buy only one here and better by more when you reach uk! better choices and design, and if you get along with the locals, can ask them for places with good deals. of course im assuming you have no budget constrain and all. but, yeah, i'll do that if i were you smile.gif

I do have a budget constraint: I can only spend up to RM2000. Nevertheless, I'd like to keep my spending as low as possible so that I can spend the extra money to purchase my wife's winter clothing so that she don't have to buy using her own money.
