why the box design abit different 1?

not lineart as cover?
*
yea i noticed that too. Probably its the newer packing. Even the newer edition of bubble packing dont have the drawn artwork of the figure on it anymore. But its still hasbro original alternator. Katakan Tak Nak kepada KO tongue.gif

actually, that packaging is the old alternator packaging...
to differ between BT and Alt, BT's packaging are in dark blue...
the newer Alt packaging is the one u see now, bubble top cardbox bottom...
*
yea the bubble packaging is the new one but my wheeljack came in the red box packing. However its boxart is slightly different compared to the ones i see on the net. I think its the UK special packaging. Even the TFTM figures have slightly different boxart.

though its brand new, hasbro has stopped producing the red boxed alternator as the license has expired including also the light blue alt packaging..
that's why u got em at a bargain price...
old stock, no point selling at RP, so discount the price to sell it off...
anyway, u just got a gem there, if u buy a few, u can trade em with toy shops to even get an MP for that...
lol...
*
I thouthg of that actually. But judging by the amount of luggage i have and the space left to fit them... dont think its as easy as it seems.

Guys i'd like to ask if RM520 is a good bargain for the Hasbro 20th Anniversary optimus prime. Its the normal 20th prime. Not the DVD version with the funky bright orangy red sweat.gif

QUOTE(evanrue @ Jan 20 2008, 08:34 PM)
For RM520:
1. TOO MUCH for the DVD orange Prime
2. Kind of high for the 20th Anniversary Prime (i wont pay more than RM400 for that)
3. OK (goreng-ed but what to do) price for MP01

reason i say its too much cos part of the reason why MP01 remains valuable is bcos of the packaging (the black wine box), not to mention the absence of battle damage and long smokestack...  tongue.gif

I still think RM520 is too high for the 20th anniversary version. Hope there's an MP01 for you somewhere, which is more worth that pricing point smile.gif
*
Yea. I have a gut feeling i will regret paying for it. I haven't even seen a MP01 in UK so far..... DVD prime's are flooding ebay UK.

QUOTE(duke_hunt @ Jan 20 2008, 08:42 PM)
the only thing is, only MP05 are flocking the market right now..
and if u r lucky, u might spot MP06 and there are shop still having MP03...
so, to say that both MP01 and MP02 will have re-issue, very very very dont put hopes too high...
unless u really want em, go get it ler unless there are solid news bout mp01 mp02 re-issue...
*
Oh man... I really really hope that MP01 will have a restock or a 4th reissue (DVD prime is the 3rd reissue. Correct me if im wrong)

well, so does the US...
u might get from ebay US including shipping around 400, thats shipping 4 Msia lah...
to the UK, u might wanna ask the seller...
*
But still i would prefer MP01 or the original 20th prime than the DVD prime. Toys r us was selling the 20th prime at half price. 30 british pounds!!!! But that was in october last year if im not mistaken. Too bad i wasnt aware of it. No more stock for now... haiz.... doh.gif

I agree, with MP05 reissue in the market now, MP01 is terribly rare!

i might be in the minority, but i still wont get the 20th anniversary one for RM520..

and to go with the Undici MP Rule: dont ever wait for an MP, get them when they first come out wink.gif

did that with the MP06, and luckily so smile.gif

Added on January 20, 2008, 9:14 pm

Yes bro Samus, MP05 is a marvel of engineering, even more so than MP01 IMO (and that's saying a LOT) smile.gif
the seekers have a better looking prototype mold (with the placement of the tailfin), but the current mold's not too shabby wink.gif
*
GOod point there. And Lesson well learnt. lol sweat.gif
I heard rumors that there will be a restock of MP01 just like the MP05. But no so soon i guess. Months? Years? rclxub.gif

for me, if i can get a hold on any one of em, its good enough..
i need an MP01 to get the right balance for my OP collection..
but, its all up to you...
u can wait...
for how long?
i dont really know...
if there's a concrete proof for MP01 re-issue, mind you not the dvd version, it'll worth the wait...
but so far, rumors are rooting for new MP07 mould...
*
Yea i guess i can wait. Just that im afraid there WONT be a restock or reissue of masterpiece prime. Haha. MP07, looking forward to that as well. Keeping my eyes peeled this time tongue.gif

yupe, with rumours abound regarding MP07, and not a whiff of MP01/04 reissues, its going to be tough looking for an MP01 mold...

@wkyoong: bro, i suggest negotiating with the seller to reduce the price of the 20th anniversary to about RM400 - 450 smile.gif ive been looking around for the prime mold the whole of last year, and from my scouting, the 20th anniversary version has never reach the rm500 price point. so for rm400 - 450, the seller can still make some money wink.gif
*
Yea i did man. Just that in the UK the retail by hasbro UK was 70GBP. Approx RM455. Im trying to get somewhere near the retail at most. But i doubt he'd offer any lower as he mentioned that it is the best he can offer for such a rare item sweat.gif

Man... thats poisoning me ..... drool.gif
