QUOTE(MIS @ Jul 20 2004, 06:00 PM) skills play a vital role.......if u are highly skilled, any racquet will go ur way.....it is the matter on how you have ur wrist work done and how well u control the racquet. I was using a Yonex racquet. All I can say is dat, quality is assured. Then I discovered the Prince racquet, though a bit 2 late s dis racquet is no longer in d market. Maybe lucky if can find a shop with old stock. I find d Prince widebody racquet 2 b better than Yonex, both in terms of control n power. However, what might b ideal 4 me might not b 4 others. Hope u can find a racquet best suited 4 u.

QUOTE(Myth @ Apr 15 2005, 11:03 AM) Hehe, that shop is getting famous ehh? If i'm not mistaken, the name of the shop is Chiang Siah Store. The boss is called Tan. I used to buy racquets at a great price. Lots of freebies too. If any of guys who does not have a group to play with or want to have a more competitive game, ask him and see if you can join his group. I played with his group on Thursdays and Saturdays but not anymore due to work and timing. You'll definitely get to meet good players in his group. Hi Myth, I'm interested. Don't mind telling me where is this shop located? I would like to see what brands of badminton racquets this shop carries and explore about d shop owner's badminton playing group. Many thx.

QUOTE(hoongji @ Apr 26 2005, 12:04 AM) get a Prince racquet model (Triple threat or something). tie it up with yonex titanium string at 25lbs. guarantee power smash. Yo hoongji, looks like you're Prince racquet owner I too love them Prince badminton racquets. They're damn good. Currently I own Prince 700 Whip Lite (an old model now no longer available) and the current Prince Triple Threat 1700 that you mentioned. Had this newer racquet strung with Gosen string/guard. It was recommended by the shop though I requested for Yonex BG66. This Gosen string/guard is equally good as Yonex BG66. Tension was 23lb. I can say it is very responsive and good for smashing. I think this racquet might still be available at The Pacific , one of them shoprows parallel to The Atria in Damansara Jaya, PJ.

Carbonex 8 racquet, my understanding, is really a good racquet for intermediate level doubles player. As for me, I prefer a Prince racquet, better if can find the wide body version. I know of one sports shop in The Atria in DJ which sells Prince racquet. One can get one for <RM150.00
