Yeah, I believe it's a Zephyr

if it is a year old, then it shouldn't be zephyr. it's the old xenon or whatever it's called..(the first batch of 360s)

zephyr started in june/july '07, for asia consoles that is.

maybe you're right, maybe it's a xenon because i bought in September 2006, what do people think about xenon? is it more reliable than zephyr?

xenon was the one with the high failure rate (sorry dude).

xenon was replaced by zephyr which is the 2nd gen of the xbox 360 hardware. zephyr still uses the same technology as the xenon but it has some new design changes, as well as new heatsinks.

so yeah, zephyr is more reliable. there have been failures, but the rate isnt as alarming as the xenon.

i am new and got noob question to ask,how we identify falcon in the elite set??thank a lot.
and also is that possible to play movie from the harddisc?what format needed??

Anyone can confirm the existence of Falcon chipset in Penang?. I'm planning to get a Premium Pro in Komtar 4th level Ace Gameshop (with 2 original games; Viva & Forza RM1680). Now the owner may let me see the powerbrick but you know ... this is a big investment to me ... any way I can confirm it by looking at the box?

look at the power brick if stated 175w...then should be falcon

I think the first page already got some info to let u know how to check it is falcon chipset xbox360, check the date(Date must be after 31/October 2007, mean the latest one the better ) and the power brick is 175W.

Yeah but Djinn said that this doesn't apply to Asian 360. I looked at the back of the box and I saw nothing of the sort (All Japanese/Chinese). I've been holding back for 2 years now ... Thanks anyway, I think I'll try that shop again when I have enough money.
