thks! i've jz installed the Nseries Suite........but, I cant update software of my phone using the suite

it says, "phone model cannot be identified"
one mroe thing, when i start my phone, it tends 2 go thru this "installing" phase, but then lead to "untrusted software in memory" then I dunno wat 2 do

should I hard reset it or wat? i really m an idiot when it comes 2 this hi tech gadgets.....so pardon me for asking nooob questions........hope i can learn from here..... smile.gif
*
try downloading the pcsuite ver 2.0.14en. that should work. the pc suite from the cd is outdated liow.

and tht installing thing.. leave it alone.. after awhile it'll be gone. last time mine was like tht due to panoman.. after awhile tht thing disappeared smile.gif

erk unsure.gif i tink u can just use the data cable and connect to your phone. U just have to choose "data transfer" mode then it'll be exactly like using a card reader. good luck!~ rclxms.gif

go to your settings there and off your "auto rotate" function and it will work. If it still doesnt, keep tht auto rotate offed and reboot your phone THEN only activate rock n scroll.

err nope we don have the line cut issue leh could be something wrong with ur sim card maybe.

@gigohlo
Dude i think u better check they fix the button properly or not man. we all can go straight to gallery when pressing it.
*
We're talking bout the remote control on the handsfree here rite? there are 5 buttons on it. 2 on top, 3 at the side.

I know the big button on the top is for picking up/terminating calls and also if press n hold for 2 secs, it'll go to voice activation.

The top and bottom side butons are to control the volume durin calls, and while in the music player.

The button at the bottom and the middle button at the side, i have no idea what is it for. icon_question.gif

and cudnt be the handsfree problem. i jus claimed warranty for it last week for a slight problem with the earphones. One side was louder than the other. hmm.gif

but the problem is previous symbian like n80 n73 has a memory leak problem, within a week the ram will drop from 20MB to 5 MB, making the phone unable to use. hope u understand. smile.gif
*
I was an N80 user in the past too before changing to N82. Yeah, memory does leak in the N82, but if u have a big bucket (n82), leak abit also u wun notice lar tongue.gif

If leak too much, u cud always reboot your phone. Remember that n82 isnt like n80. n82's boot time is 1000000x shorter than n80's laugh.gif i actually don't mind rebooting my phone once awhile now whistling.gif

if anyone interested to have a look at n82 repair manual.

here is the link > http://fileshare.eshop.bg/downloadsm/34994/Nokia_N82.html
*
from what ive read, changing casing is gonna be difficult. and removing some parts cannot be reused anymore when u wanna put back. need to use new ones. all the pcb, camera and parts are mounted on to the back casing.

so advice from me, do not attempt to do this by urselves unless u have the proper training.

My opinion: A 2-4GB card, you will store a lot of things there. Pictures, songs/sounds, movies, files, apps, etc. Unless you transfer all files into PC.

If you are traveling for several days, you won't have enough to store pictures and videos. Therefore, it is better to buy the largest available compatible memory card (8GB) if you can afford it.

I'm planning to buy 8GB micro-SD in PC Fair during 11 Apr weekend. So far shortlisted SanDisk.

hoho.. give me high-5~ how much is sandisk 8gb microsd? which class? i planning to get class 6 thumbup.gif

dont tink there will be any pasar malam version. U try to search a few pages back, sum1 posted the manual on how to remove the casing. And to me, it doesn't look like something any ordinary person can do. There are alot of parts that cannot be reused when u dismantle the casing.

Well, it costs around rm180, not sure on the class, forgot. If there is better spec, I'll get it too  tongue.gif class 6 what brand ? SanDisk too ? How much ?

If got 16GB micro-SD at reasonable price in PC Fair, then I might get it too.  tongue.gif But I think not yet launch to mass market. If given a choice now, I prefer a slower class 16GB, rather than a faster 8GB. Big size wins for me!

for me, i feel 8gig cukup lor. 2gig is enough for 2 day usage for me. blush.gif But have to take into account if i go for holiday - all the photos and videos tht im gonna take haha thumbup.gif

And my 2 cents la, wats the point having such big storage when u take such long time to load a file haha. thts why must sdhc class 6 for best performance. I dunno the prices wor.. thts why asking u tongue.gif but 200 bux is my budget lor.. hope can get below 150 laugh.gif

Someone managed to unlock the Malsingmaps (March 2008) v2.23 All-In-One GOLD VERSION without the need to contribute to get the unlock key... hmmm

Tested working on N82 smile.gif

does it have the ??????? problem when showing road names?

in other matters in hand, did you know tht n82/n95/n95 (8gig) has an inner shutter tht protects the lens? It opens only when your camera is activated.

ok.. heres the story.. 2 days back, my n82 gave me a fright cry.gif . when i activated the camera by opening the shutter (the one with the slide button or whatever u call it), my camera activated, but all i see on the screen was black blank rclxub.gif . everything was working fine except that the lens was not picking up any images.. then i realized that the shutter INSIDE the phone was not opened sweat.gif . i tried to open n close so many times but to no avail. and i had to reboot my phone only it started working like normal again *phew*

anyone kena this before?

Help!!!!
My N82 battery won't last longer than 2 days,is it normal?
Just take some photos and other than than not really play with it that much. I even switch to gsm only in network mode since 3g network is bad at my home! And I also switch off the 3rd party apps screensaver but stil the same----> have to charge it every day otherwise it'll die on the 2nd half day.

Please let me is it normal or else I'll have to get back to nokia shop as mine is ori less than a month, stil can ask them for 1 to 1 right!?
*
Get used to it. Have u used n80 before? the batt will die even b4 u reach the end of the day laugh.gif My n82 lasts 2 days on average. Thats if not much usage. If high usage, then most probably by nite will left bout 4 bars, so, i wun take any chances, i'll charge it.

I heard my friends say, classic n95 is even worse than n80 it seems dry.gif so i advise u to get used to this short batt lifespan.
